I ran to Walmart yesterday to get some Gorilla glue for Hubby, and I stopped in the garden center to see if they had any pansies.
Well, no pansies, but I saw these darling Tete-a-Tete daffodils, and couldn't resist their cuteness.
They are in tiny individual pots, and I bought 5 of them.
I lined the pots in a vintage wooden box, and added some moss from the yard for a quick box full of Spring.
On the hutch shelf above, I added an old Arthur Court tray with bunnies.
A bird's nest always says "Spring", too.
Can you see? This little daffodil has three blooms on one stem.
Quick as a bunny, my hutch looks like Spring.
When the daffodils finish blooming, I want to plant them in the yard. Hopefully, they'll come back next year.
Have any of y'all tried planting them after they've been in a pot? I'd love to know if you had luck with them.
Hugs and have a great weekend,
Babs

Very lovely, indeed! I love daffodils and your vintage box filled with these smiling faces is beautiful! via HSH
Oh yes! They will definitely come back! I love your lovely Spring vignette, makes me so wishful!
Good Evening Babs, When I see daffodils blooming, I know spring is not too far away.
Yes I have bought daffodils in pots and enjoyed them on the windowsill. When they have finished flowering, I plant the bulbs in the garden, but I do not cut the greenery, I let that die back as it is nourishment for the bulb to enable them to flower next year. In fact I have some daffodils peeping through the soil at the moment which I planted last year.
Enjoy your beautiful daffodils. Best wishes,
Daphne
How cute is this. Totally perfect. Hugs, Marty
My daffodils are blooming in my yard now. Yours are so pretty.Love your post.
How cute is that, Babs! Love the way you arranged them in a box! I love the tray, too...so springy! I just wish it would hurry! Battening down the hatches for tonight's rain...hugs...Debbie
That looks so pretty Babs!! LOVE the whole vignette!
This is just so beautiful and to me daffodils are the epitome of spring. They are so pretty! Love this so much!

Your daffodils are so sweet. They look perfect on your hutch. I've only planted the bulbs, but it's worth a try. Don't know why it wouldn't work.
Enjoy your weekend........Sarah
Babs,
Stunning are the daffodils in your box, dear friend!!!
Love the vignettes with the silver bunny tray and the bird nest!!!
Count~down to Spring is 29 days and counting!!! Thanks for inspiring us all to get out our Spring decor!!!
Fondly,
Pat
P.S. I planted daffodils from the pot to the ground with great success on the Prairie...until the squirrels dug up the bulbs!!!
Those cheery daffodils make me really yearn for spring...we just had about 10" of snow dumped on us today...and I thought spring was just around the corner!
I love it! The moss really makes it look authentic- like they are in the ground! I like tht tray- what a great pickup for spring and Easter! It's really hard fo rme to think spring yet! The 3 ft. of snow needs to melt!
Nothing says Spring quite as well as daffodils. Yours look so pretty in that planter! To answer your question about planting them outside......Yes! They WILL come back. The reason I know this is because one year I just slung mine out in the woods. I didn't know they could be re-planted at the time. Well, year after year, there they are growing like crazy in my woods! Remember, I didn't even plant them. So, they took root on their own.
Daffodils are my favorite spring flower but I must admit if I were a burgular
I would come steal that gorgeous bunny tray ;-)
Have a great weekend.
Such a great idea, makes for such a beautiful spring vignette! the moss is perfect!
You just HAD to stop in that garden center, didn't you? :-) It's really hard to resist this time of year when we're longing for spring!!! You made a fabulous and fast transformation of that space!!! The daffodils look fabulous the way you arranged them!
Oh, I love your daffodils! Just a beautiful vignette! So pretty for Spring!
This is beautiful Babs. Just what I need with all this snow on the ground!:-)
So cheery! Quick as a bunny- I am envious! I love your Bordallio Pinneiro piece on your hutch shelf.Do you see this pattern and color anymore anywhere? I saw some in a deeper forest green at Home Goods recently but I would like some more to match the pieces I have. I have two pieces , a large bowl and a smaller bowl. Would love the piece like yours.
Your buffet is so pretty.
I am always amazed at the joy those little pots of daffodils can bring us. Spring isn't quite here, but it can be in a little vignette to brighten our day.
Great to have you be a part of Seasonal Sundays.

Oh, how completely charming!!! Dafs are the happiest little flowers......yes, I have planted them after they bloom and the ground is workable, keep them watered until then and leave the foliage on them. I have also planted other bulbs that the kids gave me as potted plants for Easter and Mother's Day and my garden is full of them, they do very well!!!
The daffs are so pretty and you have them displayed beautifully-enjoy:@)
This is so beautiful - I love what you have done with them!!! I always plant things like that in my gardens with success - hyacinth, daffodil, tulips, Easter lilies, etc. Spring can't be too far away, can it? Hope you can stop by the enchanted oven to say hi.
xo,
Lisa
This is so pretty and I love how you displayed your finds in the box. Everyone out in blogging land is so anxious for spring and I am still hoping that we could get a wee bit o snow in Georgia - lol!!
Nothing says Spring like daffodils. Gorgeous!
I just love this! Thanks for the "spring-spiration!" :)

Babs, I adore your Spring in a box! You truly brightened my day. I buy flowers like this at Walmart every year. I bought Hiacynths and planted them already blooming in my garden. They have come back for two years now. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
