Hey, Y'all!
I think Hubby and I missed the "window of opportunity" for putting up outdoor Christmas lights.
We've had rain, rain and more rain!
But last week, I did manage to get a bow and fresh greenery on the mailbox.
And, I changed the bow on the front door wreath.
I liked the tartan bow that came with the wreath, but wanted something that showed up a little brighter from the street.
Here's what I did on the front porch.
I kept the same faux wreaths and pots of pansies that were in the urns. Then, I cut out the Dusty Miller that was in the center, to make a place for the snowball.
I pinched back the yellow pansies that were still blooming, added fresh Leyland Cypress and Nandina berries.
I made the snowballs from old silver ornaments, spray painted flat white, sprinkled with glitter while the paint was still wet, and then another quick coat of paint to keep the glitter on.
I cut twigs from the yard, and spray painted them the same flat white.
Hugs to everyone.

Oh my gosh Babs! I love that red and white striped ribbon on your mailbox as well as your wreath! And what you did with your urns is so creative! I'm really loving those large snowballs. My urns are sitting empty right now, too, because of all the rain.
Well done! very economical and so pretty.
Love it....and I'm sorry you missed your window of light opportunity. Think of it as not paying the electric company:-)
Your porch looks wonderful!
Very pretty, I love urns dressed for Christmas!
Hi Babs- I like your mailbox! The front door wreath and planters all look so cute! We didn't put up outside lights this year- we got caught with such an early winter we decided to not bother.
I see what you mean about the thumbnails not updating- on my blog it still shows a post from Thanksgiving.
I love red and white stripes. I have a candle in a candle ring that matches your bow! Your mailbox looks very festive and your entry so inviting. I think I can find your house now! Hope you have some sunshine soon! Holiday hugs!
Hi, Everyone. I hope I have my No-Reply fixed. Please let me know if you are still receiving it.
