These were picked this morning before the birds arrived.
One of my favorite ways to serve figs is with goat cheese or cream cheese. Today I used the Neufchatel cream cheese because it's lower in fat than cream cheese... gotta watch those calories. :) Right...who's counting?
I lined the basket with fig leaves...
...and garnished the plate with Lemon Thyme.
Enjoy!
Thanks for stopping by. I always enjoy your visits and I'll be happy to give you some figs to take home.
I'm joining The Tablescaper for Seasonal Sundays.

Babs, I wish I liked them, but I don't. Love your photo styling. Getting good, girl.
ReplyDeleteOh, I wish I had some. I just love cooking with them. What a treat. They are so hard to find in this part of the world. Stay cool. Richard at my Old Historic House
ReplyDeleteI have never had fresh figs. I have never looked for them in the market either. I bet they still wouldn't taste as good as yours fresh from the tree. How special.Beautiful presentation too!
ReplyDeleteBabs,
ReplyDeleteI love figs...but never had them fresh before! What an elegant presentation using real fig leaves! Enjoy!
Fondly,
Pat
How wonderful you grow figs! They look delicious, love how you served them!
ReplyDeleteFresh figs bring back childhood memories. We had a neighbor who had a fig tree and he would invite us over to give us a fig leaf full of figs. So delicious!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your lovely figs!
I'm not a big fig person but yours look sooooo appetizing! Thanks for dropping by and the sweet comments you sent me! Stop by to visit any time
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful photos Babs!! Beautiful post!
ReplyDeleteFig Heaven~ love your photos! I can taste their fig goodness from here! Our neighbors have a bush that they let us help ourselves to but we have to fight the birds over them :-) We didn't get to it in time last year since they were ripe when we were on vacation! Tyler Florence has a recipe that I love~ you split the fig add a smidge of blue cheese, wrap in proscuitto, bake briefly & then drizzle honey & add cracked black pepper!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry but the closest thing I've had to a fig is a Fig Newton. I am in love with your plates though. Great photos. Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are lovely, but I'm with Ann, the closet I've gotten to a fig is a Fig Newton. My dad always enjoyed figs, but frankly, they scare me a little.
ReplyDeleteWow! I've never seen a fig tree before. And I love these wonderful images...lining the basket with those fig leaves is such a beautiful way to serve...and layering the green and yellow plate make everything look so summery and pretty. Loved that gorgeous urn of lemon thyme. Thanks for sharing and have a great week!~Poppy

ReplyDeleteI love the display,, and the leaf shaped plate...I love to have figs with honey... ...!!
ReplyDeleteTwo of my favorite thing: figs and goat cheese. I'll be trying that!
ReplyDeleteHi Babs, my mother has a fig tree and EVERY year the squirrels eat them before they can get them! Lucky you! Oh, you asked about the tray....yes, it's a Nell Hill tray. I won it in a giveaway, along with a beautiful box and 2 zinc pots. It's really pretty! Linda
ReplyDeleteThose figs look beautiful!!! I tried a fresh fig once from the grocery store. I don't think it was very fresh because it didn't taste very good. I will have to try one fresh-picked from the tree someday! Yours are gorgeous, and I can just imagine how thrilled you must be with the bounty!!!
ReplyDeleteI love them just about any way you can serve them, but I've never had them this way. I will be setting my mind on trying that soon.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful presentation...feels French or Italian...lovely.
