It seems like it's taking me for-ev-a to get my Fall decorating done. Maybe I'm trying too hard? Maybe I can't find what I'm looking for? I don't even know what I'm looking for.
When I get this way, I remember the KISS method. You know...Keep It Simple Sweetheart?
So, I started with my front steps.
Ok , I know...I need to add fresh pine straw and paint the garden finial, but that's for another day.
Funny thing...the two mums I got at HD looked the same when I bought them. One had flowers open and the other was in bud. They were beside each other and looked like the same flower but...oh, well.
Simple arrangement. Two mums, two pumpkins and an antique market basket made by Hubby's grandfather around 1900. Done!
...Kiss my steps.
On to the kitchen...
...on the island, I put a bunch of faux flowers in the old milk pitcher...
a plate of apples from my neighbor's tree...
...and a candle.
Kiss my kitchen...I'm on a roll.
Last stop...the deck.
Since the deck is very visable from the kitchen, I always like something interesting on the coffee table...
...one old grapevine wreath, one urn, one new pumpkin and... Kiss my deck. I'm done!
And you thought I was going to say "Kiss my grits".
Check out the buttons on my side bar to see these great parties.

See y'all there.

Have a great day !!
I love the front steps! Sooo classy, and pretty. You did a wonderful job. Love the way you used apples in the decor inside. This is one of those cases where less is more I think.
Pretty, Babs! I am also going simpler on the porch. It seems a little too early to go hog wild yet! lol Hugs...Debbie
Babs, I love that basket. How wonderful that it is a family heirloom. I thought maybe you bought it somewhere. It all looks good and we need pine straw, too. Been asking for months. Still hasn't happened.
Beautiful Babs! The vignette in your kitchen is so pretty and I love the centerpiece on your deck! I like that saying"KISS". Martina
Well it is...simply beautiful! I need to get going myself so I will take your advice!
Good morning, Babs! Keeping it simple has paid off! LOVE the pumpkin in the urn! I may have to use that idea someday. That basket is a "true antique." Wonderful! And it's still in such good shape! I wish I could look that good when I'm 111!!! :-)
I think all your kissed rooms look wonderful now! I like it simple too. You're so lucky to have a neighbor with an apple tree! I'd be all over that! I didn't even know those were real in your picture until you mentioned it. BTW, you're in good company with needing fresh pinestraw. I think everyone's is dried out due to the hot summer we've had.
They look wonderful. I like to keep it simple and real. Thanks for sharing. Richard from My Old Historic House
This is gorgeous! Love that coffee table on the deck! xo
You are way ahead of me. I'm eager to add some fall touches soon. Thanks for the inspiration.
I love the mums in the basket. You know, sometimes the simplest arrangements are the best.

How pretty! Love all your touches of fall.
Your arrangements are all lovely! Magazine quality!
Thanks for linking to Potpourri Friday. You participation is appreciated!
Love it all! Especially love your cute kiss meaning. I have such a tendancy to go overboard. Sometimes less is more. A lesson I'm sure I needed to learn long ago. I love the simplicity of it all. Now a new follower.
Hi Babs! Thank you for linking to the open House party this week. I appreciate you sharing your pretty Fall decor at the party. Everything is beautiful and I especially love the old basket with mums.
Hugs,
Sherry
Love the island - all the touches of fall. I still love the final.
LOL I had forgotten about "Kiss my grits".
Your fall KISS decorations are just perfect to my way of thining. I love simplicity, and fall just begs it, IMO.
Babs,
Oh, dear friend, I'd say you've sealed Fall with a KISS, indeed!
I adore the kitchen towel on the island!
Thank you for your inspiration. Sometimes we get stressed about the common, simple pleasures of life!
Fondly,
Pat
Beautiful Babs. You got your groove now.
The basket is so pretty with the mums.
I love how you decorated your deck as well.
The apples are a nice touch
Simplicity is beauty and you have proven it once more....Christine

Giggle kiss my grits, I remember that saying. Everything looks just beautiful. Hugs and happy weekend wishes!
Babs I love your fall touches. I think the two different flowers compliment each other with a lovely burst of fall color. Love the way you displayed your candle in the leaf shaped dish, ant the vignette on the deck looks fabulous. Love how you use the pumpkin in the urn and the wreath as a centerpiece. Great inspiration.

The French Hutch
Everything looks lovely. I love fall decorating but I haven't purchased any pumpkins yet - I'd better get busy too.
I think it's all wonderful!!! I love how you used the market basket outside to hold the mums--I've had that happen with the 2 different flowers not known until I got home, but back to the market basket--what a priceless family treasure--and your other mix of elements in the home has that same timeless appeal.
I think you've accomplished KISS:
Keep
It
Simply
Spectacular!!!
Love/hugs/blessings,
Lana
Your decor looks fantastic! I round you from Acts of Life blog:)
Love your motto, from now on a kiss is all ya get LOL Sometimes less is more. Looks great, love the deck, I need to do something on my deck for "me" as it is also very visable from where I am most of the time...so tommorow I may just kiss my deck.
Hugs,
Ellen
Look at all these comments! Love everything but my favorite is the pumpkin in the urn on your deck. You have the best "family" stuff. The basket is just wonderful...and I think you told me your dough bowl was your grandmother's? Sounds like you had a blast with Kim at the antique mall. How fun to hang out with another blogger. Have a great Sunday...is your weather cooler?
Beautiful- I love those flowers in the basket and your charming pumpkin in the urn!! Stopping by from Potpourri Friday today! :)
So lovely. It would be great to have you link to Seasonal Sundays.
