Y'all probably know that I have a few pieces of Bordallo Pinheiro, and I love the color green...So, when I saw this, I just had to take it home.
The photo's a bit shadowy, because I turned on the overhead light...didn't want to wait till tomorrow, when the sun was out, to take the photos .
Here it is closer, so you can see the pattern. I've seen a lot of Bordallo, but not this one.
It's probably new...especially since it still had the TJ Maxx sticker still on the back...duh!
I've looked online, but didn't see the pattern.
Anyway, if any of y'all know what it is, I'd love to know.
I like it here, and it fills in the space better than the transferware plate did.
Thank goodness it works with that green flower pot under the candle stick...at least I won't have to look for something else to elevate it.
I'm headed over to Kim's for
Savvy Southern Style for Wow Us Wednesday and
The Tablescaper for Seasonal Sundays.
See you there,
Babs
Love it, Babs! But I loved the other one, too! I haven't seen that pattern before...so pretty! Hope you are enjoying this springy weather!...hugs...Debbie

Babs, lovely find! I like the basket weave look on this. I've not seen this pattern. I love Bordallo pieces.
ReplyDeleteI stopped in to TJ this morning and found several nice pieces of a black/white/green pattern that matches several pieces I've had for many years. Was so excited! Now I'm on a mission to see if other locations might have more of this pattern. Oh, the hunt is on......Sarah
It's just perfect! I really love the difference.
ReplyDeleteBetter! And it matches your candle height extender!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to know that I'm not the only one to redo things within days of each other. Ha! I love that new platter. It goes perfectly in that vignette. I've never seen that pattern either.
ReplyDeleteBabs, this is beautiful. L too love Bordallo pieces. I have a few, not many but it is definitly past time to get them out.

ReplyDeleteHugs,
I've not heard of this before, but it is really pretty. I love the way you elevated the candle holder, it's just perfect. A lovely vignette!
ReplyDeleteHope you link it to WIW, we'd love to show it off!
Hugs,
Patti
You found a nice piece! I did a little searching and the closest I've come to your pattern is called Ingrid. The flower is the same but I haven't seen the exact pattern you have. I usually write to Replacements Ltd. when I can't figure it out. They offer a customer service pattern finder. Send them a picture and they will likely identify it. You can do it all on line.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful vignette ... love your new plate!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful platter, Babs. It looks great there.
ReplyDeleteI would love a set of cabbage dishes, I missed out on them when TJM had them years ago.
I too love green, started with Hall and McCoy pieces then found Bordello's rabbit sandwich platter - which I love. Now if I could only find cabbage dishes at a garage sale or GW since there's no Marshall's or TJ Max Around here. I think your design is stunning and so very much my style.
ReplyDeletewhat a beautiful vignette. I can understand why you had to have that platter. It would be wonderful to have you join me at Seasonal Sundays.

Babs,
ReplyDeleteYour newest Bordallo plater is lovely, dear! Bordallo pieces are getting harder and harder to find here on the Prairie! Thanks for sharing your new GREAT FIND!
Fondly,
Pat
I just can't believe the stuff you find. Incredible. Is Bordallo made in Portugal? It reminds me of the pieces that look like cabbage or lettuce. It's the same green. Just lovely and you found the perfect spot. Hope all is well with you!
ReplyDeleteI love the addition of the platter Babs. Your Spring vignette is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for being a part of Seasonal Sundays.
