There isn't a lot blooming in my garden right now, but I wanted to make a bouquet for the breakfast table...
...so I walked the yard looking for colors of plants that would work together...I picked Sedum Matrona and Autumn Joy, two kinds of Loropetalum, a couple of hosta leaves and some Indian Hawthorne.
That should do for it for the breakfast table...I also found what looks like a weed...
...I'm not really sure what it is...the leaves and stems are fuzzy...a bit like oregano, or maybe pentas...
...I popped it into a little canning jar...
...and put it on the hutch. OK...now, I'm ready for breakfast. Who's cooking?
Hugs, and have a great Sunday,
Babs

That bouquet makes a perfect table, greens and purples. The napkins fit right in.
Lovely, Babs! All the colors are gorgeous...with a hint of fall! Happy weekend!...hugs...Debbie
This is lovely, Babs. I like the mix of colors and textures, and your little basket holder is charming. I like the look of sedum and need to remember to plant more of this. I've made a note of yours. Since you set the table perhaps the mister will cook the breakfast. ;-)
Lovely! Great combo! Love the little one with white flowers. Some kind of mint?
I love this beautiful design! You have talent! This looks like something out of a catalogue! :)
Hugs,
Hi Babs, What lovely flowers you found in your garden. I love the little blooms weeds or not. They look like little stars! I love how you put them in the jars. I do that a lot too. I'm going to have to remember your pretty raffia bow to dress it up. So pretty on the hutch. I love the colors in your table setting with the napkins, place mats and glass……..

Babs, what a lovely arrangement, using your very own pickings! Such a pretty setting for breakfast!
This is gorgeous. I think it's neat how sometimes the best comes out of working with what we have. The colors that you brought in from the August heat are beautifully reflected in your table. Love that napkin!
Great to have you be a part of Seasonal Sundays.

Boy, for not much blooming, Babs, you managed to put together a terrific breakfast bouquet! Are those sedums in the bouquet?
Love the arrangements, after the high temperatures this summer,I'm ready for cooler weather and fall flowers!
Babs,
Your floral arrangement is lovely!!! The color palette is a perfect accent to your napkins, glasses and dinnerware. Love it!!! Your post reminds me of the phrase,"When life gives you lemons...make lemonade." OR "When life gives you weeds...make a bouquet." You amaze me, dear friend! Thanks for putting a smile on my face and making me see the beauty around me through different eyes!
Fondly,
Pat
I love that bouquet! It's gorgeous. So natural and full. I like the container you put it in too. Looks like you have a country kitchen setting (which is very pretty) so you should have a country breakfast. Only fitting!
Babs, Beautiful bouquet. In the garden we can always find something pretty. Even the weed? looks when brought inside and given honor. It doesn't know it might be a weed, it just blooms.
I have those same tumblers. I broke one of my glasses and haven't found another that fits properly in the little basket. I love them. Pretty white pitcher too. I am not cooking. Bob is still eating mush following his dental surgery.
Have a great week. Ginger
Love your arrangement! So very sweet and it looks perfect for Breakfast. I didn't cook breakfast today. If you visit my blog, you will see I was dancing away in the heat yesterday. I am resting today. I am your newest follower.
Love fresh arrangements! Yours are beautiful. xo
Beautiful, Babs...I love sedum.
Totally perfect fall arrangement. You are lucky to have green hosta leaves. Mine are brown and sort of shriveled. :o)
Hi Babs,
Absolutely beautiful and soooo calming. I love this.

Sedum is SO pretty, and you've put together a beautiful arrangement with it! I need to get crackin' and plant some of the "Autumn Joy" in our yard. It comes back bigger and stronger every year, and I just love the bloom it yields!
Hi Babs! I love your choice of plant materials for the bouquet, the sedum is blooming? You must live in a warmer zone than I do! lol I'm close to Lake Erie. The delicate white flowers look beautiful! Love mason jars.Nice visiting you and I,m your newest follower! Happy week!! Dianna (sunny109)
Dianna, Yes, I'm north of Atlanta, so it's a little warmer here. Thanks for visiting and following. I'd love to visit your blog, but can't find you or your email address.
