This morning, I headed out to my usual shopping places to look for a few things for Fall and Thanksgiving.
I stopped at Michael's, and couldn't believe they had their Fall decor 80% off!! Whoo! Hoo! My kind of sale!
Well, I started rummaging through everything, and saw this metal wreath. The very last one!...and at 80% off, it was going home with me.
When I hung it on the inside of the door to take a pic, I knew it didn't look quite large enough, so I got out one of my old grapevine wreaths and...
...wired the metal wreath to it with chenille stems...aka "pipe cleaners", for us "vintage" crafters... added a burlap bow from some burlap ribbon I had and...
...my front door is set for Fall/Thanksgiving, and it only took about 10 minutes.
The metal wreath wasn't what I started out looking for, but at that price, and using the grapevine wreath and burlap I already had, I'm lovin' it!
So check out your Michael's and see what they have on sale, and no, I'm not being compensated for saying that. :)
Happy shopping, and thanks a million to Marigene @ In the Middle of Nowhere, for her suggestion of how to transfer photos directly from my camera to my laptop, without using the camera card. Marigene, you're the best!
Hugs,
Babs

ReplyDeleteCan I pick your brain a minute? My knock out roses are in full bloom. Unbelievable. Should I cut them back now or wait until spring? I hate to cut off all the lovely blooms...we even had a hard frost and they survived. Hope you are well...Ann
