Gold and Gray and What's That in the Driveway?

Last week, I found the galvanized R at a local decor store and thought it might work with some gold things that I had.

I also had a small galvanized orb. I really wish I had gotten a larger one, too. I'll have to check HL to see if they have them again this year.
The gold vase holds a dried arrangement made from bits and pieces from my stash.

Candle holders and a Bordallo Pinheiro leaf plate...

... a square gold planter brings a bit of color to the coffee table tray. I was thrilled to see the sun come out, but now it's gray and dreary again.

Another gold leaf plate on the little chair-side table.

Speaking of gold and gray....you won't believe what we saw in our driveway! Well, it was really tan and gray and mean looking!

I nearly fell off the sofa trying to grab the camera to take some pics.

We couldn't believe it just walked around for about ten minutes and then left.

I hope that coyote doesn't come back.

I'm sitting here watching The Weather Channel and the predictions for Joaquin.
Y'all stay safe and have a good weekend.

  1. Was that a coyote? Hope he doesn't get your cats! I love the gold accessories you used and the large "R" is great. I have some of those letters too. I love them. I'm not looking forward to all the ugly weather we're going to be getting. Today was not too bad, but I hear it's going to get worse as the weekend nears.

  3. Gorgeous décor, I'm hoping you are having some cooler weahter there in your parts!

Oh, wow, I thought that was a wolf! Oops, not familiar with the wild and wooly! But by gosh---I'd be looking over my shoulder if I were you!

  4. I like the gold accents you popped in the room! The large R was a nice find. I saw some letters at Michael's and wanted to make a word but couldn't find all the letters so I gave up. That coyote must be hungry to come close to humans especially during the day. We have them out back in the fields but I've never seen one wandering around. I think they feed on mice a lot. He was a handsome one!

  5. Coyotes are a fairly frequent siting here in the AZ desert, but not in our neighborhood.....YIKES! That's kind of scary! Almost forgot, I really like your Fall decor, too!

  6. The warm yellow of the plates and vase brighten up your home and gives it so much warmth!
We have coyotes in our neighborhood (in Arizona) and you do have to be careful to keep your pets safe; other than that, coyotes stay away from people!

  7. Lovely Fall décor, Liz, especially your coffee table vignette. Oh, my! That coyote is a little too close for comfort. We have them around here in rural Missouri but with our Border Collies, they don't come too close to the house. Great photos of him, by the way!
