The Last Days of Summer

Hey y'all!  No, it isn't Paula Deen. It's me back from my short bloggy break.
Want to know where I've been? Here's a hint or two...

                                                                           Sunrise

Beach chairs and umbrellas set out.

Just as I was starting to think of Fall, our son and DIL called to invite us to join them at the beach for a few days.

                                                        The condo where we stayed.

They drove down from NJ to Myrtle Beach, SC, and we met them there.  We had the best time. The weather was perfect! ... in the 80s and a little breeze to keep things cool.
Of course, we got to see the grandsons again, yay! and enjoy lots of beach and pool time.

Our three-year-old grandson, Brayden, loved being in the water.

I couldn't get over how much Ryker had grown. He turned 3 months on Sept. 1st while we were there.  He's always smiling and giggling.

Here's Brayden playing a game on my laptop. He LOVES the computer and started using our son's at a little over 2 years old.
He tells us the url of the children's site he wants...we type it in, and he does the rest. He's so grown up... 3 years old going on 10.

There were fireworks one night on the pier, so close to our balcony, that it was almost like our own private fireworks show.

                                                                Sand dunes

Spending times with family and friends are always the best times. Thanks for visiting.
NOW, I'm ready for Fall. Bring it on!
Hugs,
Babs

Oh...you are a lucky girl, Babs! I LOVE Myrtle Beach, my hubby golfs there every January and I had a wonderful time the year I tagged along. If it's going to be hot, may as well be hot along the ocean!!

The kids are just precious! I love their darling names. And it looks like you have a computer whiz on your hands!! ;-D

Hi Babs,

These photos are great! I love the palm trees and the colorful beach umbrellas. My parents had a condo at North Myrtle Beach for about 14 years. They thoroughly enjoyed it. Your grandsons are precious, and yes, aren't they amazingly smart with the computers? I agree that times spent with family are the best.

I read your profile and I also love anything by Rosamund Pilcher. She hasn't written anything lately, and I really miss her! Thanks for visiting my blog and for taking time to leave a comment. Have a great weekend.

Bab's, your grandsons are just precious. I just want to squeeze those little cheeks on the baby. It amazes me how a two or three year old can use a computer and I still have trouble with one. Those are terrific pictures. Did you take them?

Babs, That is fantastic. What a great way to end the summer. The grandsons are gorgeous. I know you were in heaven. You may just have a "Gates" on you hand with Braden.
It won't be fall here for some time but is fall in the stores. I am looking forward to the cooler weather. I sure pray we get some of that rain of the gulf. We are still parched.
So glad you had a great vacation. Loved the pics.
Hugs, Ginger
