Sometimes I just can't make up my mind about what to put on the mantel.
In my last post, I mentioned that I was undecided about what I'd done, and thought I might change it.
Well...I changed it. But, I'm still undecided.
Maybe I'm just over thinking it. Ya, think?
Do you ever do that?
Here's the first look:
Pumpkins on the right...
...pumpkins on the left.
And a picture of puppies is in the middle.
Now, here's the NO pumpkins look, and a few little changes.
I kept the picture...
...but switched the white pumpkins and faux green hydrangeas for dried hydrangeas, and added books and an acorn.
And, mama bulldog sits on a book on the left...
So what do you think?
Pumpkins?
No pumpkins?
Hugs,
Babs

I absolutely love the pumpkins...they say "Fall"! And the white ones go with any decor. Very pretty mantel!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't find your email address. Thanks so much for stopping by today!
XO,
Jane
I like it both ways, but am loving the books and the dried hydrangeas on the second one!
ReplyDeleteI love the pumpkins version -- but could you include the mama bulldog, too? She's the right color and carries out the theme in the picture! (I do this, too -- play around FOREVER before I'm satisfied!)
ReplyDeleteI like seeing the pumpkins. I'd put the dog back in- I like him! I just did my mantel and now I'm considering redoing it.
ReplyDeleteI vote pumpkins through the end of the month and then no pumpkins through the remainder of the fall season. That's my 2 cents! :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the pumpkins!
ReplyDeletePumpkins, definitely!!!! xo
ReplyDeleteI vote for the pumpkins they look fabulous! Come over and share your post with us on the Style Sisters linky party..http://thestylesisters.blogspot.com/2013/10/centerpiece-wednesday-95.html

Pumpkins!
ReplyDeleteI like the one with the pumpkins. I think they say Fall more than the other display. Also, I like the pop of white that they bring.
ReplyDeleteThey are both pretty, but I love the pumpkin one the best. I actually stepped way out of my comfort zone and put orange ones on my mantel this year. I'm still having a little trouble getting used to such a bright color up there, but I actually like it.
ReplyDeleteI love them both...but...I ( myself) would do Hydrangea now then pumpkins in November...
ReplyDeleteWell, I like them both and don't think it makes a lot of difference which you choose. You could always do one one week and the other the next. If I had to choose, I would pick the pumpkins. Very nice fall mantle either way!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely pumpkins! It's October! Use the no pumpkin look for November....
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Babs, You can tell I am English, because I think I am the only one who is going to vote for the "No pumpkins". I love your mantlepiece without them as there is so much interest.... and I love your little bulldog, she is fabulous.
ReplyDeleteWe don't decorate our mantlepiece for Autumn here in England. The next time the mantlepiece will be decorated will be for Christmas.
Having said that, it is all down to personal taste.
Have a lovely weekend.
Best Wishes
Daphne
Another vote for pumpkins and dog :^)
ReplyDeleteShe is so cute, you just can't leave her out!!
Blessings to you,
J
