Shelly's Seashell Tablescape

Hi, Y'all!
I wanted to join in the fun at Cuisine Kathleen's Summer Whimsy Tablescape Challenge, so I thought of Shelly, my Byers' Choice caroler, dressed in her swim costume and ready for the beach.

Shelly said that we needed lots of seashells...

...scattered around the table...

...and a starfish or two, to keep the napkins from sailing away.

Blue and white dishes...

...grasses from the yard in a wicker container, to suggest beach grass, and a few sea biscuits.

Shelly's headed back to the beach to look for more shells, but she say's, "Don't forget to stop by Kathleen's to see all the whimsical summer tablescapes."

See you there!

  4. Babs, this is both whimsical and very pretty. Love the blue and white theme and all the beach details ~ sand, shells, and swimming bloomers. Great job!
Too much going on here with house guests and life in general, so I don't have a table to share this week for Kathleen's challenge. I should have planned ahead.

  5. Your table is set so cute! I love the summer theme with the seashells and blue and white. I didn't know the Byers dolls were made in any other theme than Christmas.

  7. I'm going to beat you up if you don't start posting more tablescapes! You always do such a great job, and then you just leave us hangin' for like 5 or 6 months. What's up with that little woman??!?!? :-)

Now I have that "She sells seashells by the seashore" thing going on over and over in my head. Thanks a lot! :-)

I never knew they made these carolers in outfits other than Christmas ones. Shelly's pretty cool! Her swimsuit is just the kind I've been looking for to cover pretty much my entire body! I'd probably drown under all the weight of it!!! :-)

Your napkin fold is terrific! I've never attempted the sailboat napkin fold. You've inspired me to give it a try...someday!
