Black and White and Red, and Read

Hi, Hope y'all are having a good week.
I don't normally decorate a lot for Valentine's Day, just a few pops of red here and there, and maybe a pic or two of the grands wearing something red

Last week, I was thrilled to find these vintage books at the antique/decor shop, and, I knew they were just what I needed to make a little vignette on the secretary.

Sonnets from the Portuguese, by Elizabeth Barrett Browning.

Each page has sweet silhouettes to accompany her poems.

Sweet silhouettes, and sweet treats...

Black and white shortbread hearts from Costco.
You didn't think I made them did you?  :)

Wishing all of you a Happy Valentine's Day!

I pinned your secretary vignette. I really like it. I've been reluctant to add a small lamp to mine, but seeing yours gives me confidence that I'm making the right choice. I love the vintage books, too. Great score!

Happy Valentine's Day, dearest Babs!!!!!

These are beautiful vignettes, Babs -- I especially love the first picture. What a wonderful find on the Elizabeth Barrett Browning book; those silhouettes are perfect for her poetry. Great ideas for Valentine's decor, and I love your pretty tulips, too. :) Thanks for sharing and I hope you have a good weekend.
