From Transferware to Tuscan

As much as I love my Blue Willow transferware, for Fall, I wanted to do something totally different...something with warm colors.

Wanting to change the look on a budget, I shopped the house. I'm always on a budget.

As I gathered things with Fall colors, a sort of Tuscan look,  began to happen. 
Actually, I used a German marmalade jar, Portugese pottery plates, American Shaker boxes, French cheese and Italian bread sticks.   Tuscan...right?  :)  Ok, humor me.

Here's the hutch, ready for Fall...



I had everything already in the house, including the wine, cheese, bread sticks, and herbs...
 ...all I had to buy were pears.


How about a little wine and cheese...and pears?



Here are a few close ups...

...gotta have a GW cheese dome...


...and a marmalade jar to hold the bread sticks.


Sorry about the faux olives. I ate all the real ones. :)


There is real wine though, and the sun is going down.



Love the warm glow of the setting sun...

I love having a glass of wine with friends.

    I love your changes! I spy a bottle from Target that has the wine label on it. I have that exact bottle. I'd like to get the medium size one too. Everything looks very fitting for Fall.

    Your Fall look on the hutch is gorgeous! WoW...I'm wanting to go shopping at your house, too! Those golden yellow plates have such an interesting pattern! I bought that same dish towel a few weeks back. Those are my colors!!! Thanks for the wine tasting event! Haven't done that in years!

    Babs, first of all your photos are gorgeous!! Love the setting sun ones. Hey anytime you need someone to sit and enjoy wine with you just call and we will chat and drink. I may have to walk home, but hey it isn't far. I LOVE what you did to this hutch. Warm and wonderful.

    Oh Babs, I love the blue willow in your hutch, I LOVE this one too. So warm and inviting, not the traditional hint of fall... loving it. I've got to get some wine corks.. love that look. I'm glad you're enjoying the tour darling..

    I just knew this was going to be good. I wasn't dissapointed. Love the colors. I especially like the little leaf dish and the cheese tray. Love the shot of the cheese dome with the grapes.

    Coming over from Marty - Stroll thru Life, I love your hutch. Isn't it always fun to reuse your treasurers in another way. We never seem to run out of accessories.     Too funny...that we have the same Crock Pot...must have been the hot ticket item for Christmas Sales that year! I had never had pork in the Crock Pot until I got that recipe, either. They were so good...and enough for "Mr. Ed" and I for leftovers the next evening, as well! I adore your blog! Your friendship is a treasure. Thanks for your sweet comment and visit recently!     Oooh...I love it...reminds me of how we ate in Italy!!! And the "Tuscan" look...actually, you're RIGHT...the convergence of various countries/styles collected over time is very Tuscan/European! Awesome!
