I also LOVE the smell of coffee, so I use coffee beans as a filler in my candle holders.
Not only is it visually interesting...it smells soooo good!
Here, I used a real candle for "photographic purposes", but most of the time I use a flameless candle in the hurricane...for safety.
You can also use a little votive holder with the candle, as I do here.
Of course, I know you'd never leave candles unattended. :)
A one pound bag of coffee beans is enough for the large hurricane and the small square one.
Because I'm
"Flavored" coffee beans, such as hazelnut, are lovely too, but usually more expensive.
It's really nice to come back from shopping and smell the fragrance of the coffee beans...even if there's no coffee brewing.
Another thing I like is the color of the coffee beans used with cream colored or white candles.
Oh, sorry. Those aren't candles. I was going to photograph the shortbread cookies with a cup of coffee next to the candles...but someone ate the cookies before I took the other photo.
Yum.. mmm. :)

That is a great tip! Those cookies look mighty good too. No wonder someone ate them up. Ha! I ADORE the smell of coffee. Every morning as I open the container to fill my coffee maker, I take a deep inhalation of that wonderful aroma. It does me good! Thanks so much for the mention too!

That is a great tip and I'll have to try it -- I DID get some beans at WS today for $4 something -- good beans too but they would work and are certainly cheap enough!

I love the smell of coffee!!! I don't drink much of it anymore (the caffeine is not my friend in my old age!), but I still enjoy the toasty roasted fragrance wafting through the house! As a native Kansas Citian, I have long enjoyed the wonderful fragrance of Folger's coffee in the air anytime I go to the downtown area where a plant has been operational since the early 1900s. (Unfortunately, it is scheduled to close this summer with operations moving to Louisiana.) :-(
I am a great coffee lover!!..I have a covered jar on my kitchen island with a candle and coffee beans too!..However, I never light it..just there for aesthetics, so I am going with your great suggestion to light the candle to smell the aroma of the beans!

That a great idea! I remember a few years back when there were candles made with the beans in the bottom- but I think it was mostly for looks!
I love the aroma of coffee! We actually had a "coffee" man when I was a kid. He'd bring a 5 lb. bag once every two weeks and it smelled good to me even back then! Of course back then we had bread and milk delivered too!
