I finally decided I couldn't stand the poinsettias any longer, and even though they still looked good, I threw 'em out.
Hubby felt sorry for them and rescued (his word) them to decorate the shed.
What-eva! At least I don't have to look at them any more.
I'm so ready for Spring, and all the stores are showing Easter things.
Monday, when I was at Marshall's, I found a cute rustic shabby rabbit, all by himself, with no price tag, and no more like him...don't you just hate it when that happens?
I stood in line waiting for a manager to find a price, and when she finally came back, and said, "$4.99"... I said, "yes!!!," and brought him home.
He has a little bit of a dry brushed finish to give him that shabby rabbit look.
. He's so cute... he just makes me smile. I wish I could have found a larger one to go with him. I checked again today at Marshall's, and also at Home Goods. No luck.
It seems strange that he would have been an "only".
Breakfast is ready. Hope y'all like cereal.
Thanks for stopping by. I always appreciate your visits.
Hugs,
Babs

Babs,
ReplyDeleteAdorable! I love, love, love your shabby rabbit! He does appear a bit lonely...keep looking, perhaps his mate is hiding in another store!
Had to laugh about the poinsettas! Mine, I do believe mine are re~blooming! I can't bring myself to cast them out...guess they'll be here "'til the cows come home"! Ha!
Fondly,
Pat
Love the little bunny. I am so ready for Spring and Easter is my favorite time of year to celebrate and decorate. I see lots of bunnies popping up in blogland. Very exciting. Lovely post today. Deb=^..^=x4
ReplyDeleteYour little shabby friend is cute. Maybe another one will show up.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute bunny! I love your tablescape too.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Susan and Bentley
Oh your bunny is adorable. I just love him. Your basket vignette is gorgeous also. Everything looks so nice and I like your breakfast tablesetting. Thanks in advance for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteHe is darling and maybe you have the only one:-}
ReplyDeleteHe's so cute. That was a lucky find! I stopped buying poinsettias years ago when I learned they are poisonous to animals. I haven't had to throw out anymore since. They always live too long for my taste too. Too bad that live Christmas trees and greenery don't though.
ReplyDeleteBunnies are my favorite thing to decorate with during spring. I have them in all shapes and forms! This guy is a cutie and he looks just fine on his own with your other spring touches!
ReplyDeleteToo funny about the poinsettias ending up in the shed!! :)
XO,
Jane
Everything looks so pretty! Your blog is beautiful! Thank you for visiting me today.
ReplyDeleteI am your new follower!
That rabbit is so sweet! Your table looks so pretty Babs!
ReplyDeleteSuch a handsome little bunny! Looks like he's fixing to dine on the "cabbage"!
ReplyDeleteHi Babs....love your tablescape...the green cabbage bowl looks so pretty against the yellow plate...and your bargain rabbit is so cute...have you checked for others at TJM??.....or Homegoods....
ReplyDeleteBabs, your little rabbit is a charmer. I'll stop in TJ and Marshall's here this weekend and see if his sibling is hanging out here in TX. ~ Sarah
ReplyDeleteAdore your shabby look!!! I think this table setting is SO cute! :)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Your little shabby rabbit is adorable Babs and your breakfast table is beautiful! I love your wire basket. Hope you have a wonderful weekend, Gail
ReplyDeleteWhat a great find...love how you "shabbed" it up!...Love your table..cannot wait for Spring!!!..
ReplyDeleteLove the shabby rabbit (and the price). It looks great on your spring table!
ReplyDeleteHow cute is he, Babs! He was worth the trouble you took to find out about him! Love your daffodils! Yesterday was amazing, but I think February is back today...:-( Happy weekend!...hugs...Debbie
ReplyDeleteSometimes I just want to take Marshalls and TJ Maxx and smack them 'til they rattle!!!! WHY do they have such limited quantities in their stores?!?!?!?!! It's maddening!!!!! I was in TJ Maxx and Marshalls the other day and noticed that the variety of dishes available has really decreased. Not just the quantity which has always been a problem, but the actual VARIETY from which to choose. In TJ Maxx, they had NO MORE open stock stemware, either!!! It was all just the stuff in boxes!! What the heck is going on?!??!?!?!?!! I'm a little highstrung this morning. I'd better go have a bowl of Cream of Wheat to calm down! I hope you're able to find the bunny's big brother. Have a great weekend!!! :-)
ReplyDeleteI love bunnies and this one is a cutie. Good find.
ReplyDeleteCheck at TJMaxx! They carry the same things. I hope you fins his mate:):) I just bought 2 bunnie too: one at Home Goods and one at TJ. They are Mr. and Mrs. Love them. I eat cereal every single day. I need to change things up alittle:):) XO, Pinky
ReplyDeletePlant the poinsettia in the garden, they make beautiful green plants, of course they will die next winter, but a solution for now. Richard from My Old Historic House.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh I love your lettuce (or cabbage?) dishes. I have a few serving pieces I have picked up at TJ Maxx but that's it. I think the bowls are wonderful and the bunny is pretty cute too. Have a good one!
ReplyDeleteHe is very cute! I will keep my eyes open. Sorry you couldn't find hide nor "hare" of him. :)
ReplyDeleteYour breakfast setting is lovely.
Thanks for putting the St. Patrick's Day Blog Crawl on your side bar!
He was meant just for you! Looks so great with your breakfast setting. Have a great weekend, Ginger

ReplyDelete- The Tablescaper
Love cereal.. any soy milk? Cute cute table.. I love the bunny on the table.. what a bargain! Your table is soo pretty. xo marlis
ReplyDeleteLove your little bunny--sometimes one of a kind is even more special. But I'm going to make a trip to HGs to see if any of his relatives hopped up here. And you are so funny about the poinsettia. I am trying to toss mine too, but I can't when they are still blooming so well. LInda
ReplyDeleteToo funny, Babs. Well if he is decorating the shed, it must be because you taught him well! ;) Love your sweet bunny!
ReplyDeleteBabs, That is a beautiful rabbit and what a great price on such a unique find. I love the way you photographed with the sunlight shining on the flowers and the bunny.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little bunny! And, oh those beautiful daffodils! Harbingers of Spring!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable guny! I love your combination of plates and their textures! They look so inviting with the sun shining on them. The daffodils in the basket with the napkins and plate laid in there is a lovely touch!
ReplyDeleteHe's perfect. I would have snatched him up, too. I'm as surprised as you are that he isn't part of a set.
ReplyDeleteAnd I feel the exact same way about my poinsettia that wouldn't die. I finally exiled it to the corner of the deck and refuse to look there. Funny, I normally kill things without any effort. I've never seen anything as resilient as my poinsettias this year.
Your bunny is adorable! I love your Spring vignette!
ReplyDeleteI'm like you..ready for Spring and Spring decor.
Have a great week!
Oh, I love this rabbit! He looks perfect on your table! Thank you for joining me at Home Sweet Home!
