I was about to take my cloches to the shed for the summer...
...and then I decided my foyer needed a bit of sparkle...so I used two cloches, the hurricane, a small crystal bowl, added a picture, some day lilies and a few seashells in a silver bowl.
Then, I added the RL brown floral pillow that was on it's way to the yard sale. I sure am glad y'all talked me into keeping it.
The reflection of the cloche in the picture was a surprise...my camera has a mind of it's own. :) Spooky!
The little green thing is a seed head from my clematis...their swirly shape always amazes me...they almost look and feel like plastic.
The foyer probably won't stay like this very long, as I'm always changing things around. It's one place in the house I tend to change things a lot.
Have a great weekend. I'll probably be working in the yard. Do y'all have anything exciting planned?
Hugs,
Babs

Oh it looks fabulous. I love that cloche, it is so pretty with it's gorgeous etching and design. The shells look beautiful. I love the way you are displaying the flowers too. Beautiful. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteI love your cloche and your vignette is gorgeous!! I think cloches warm up a space and they look perfect in every season because of their transparency. Lovely. Have a wonderful weekend.

Oh don't put the cloche in the shed , it looks so good out next to the shells
ReplyDeleteI am going to an auction tomorrow in a small town and it's a small auction of a little lady who has passed on to glory
That looks so sweet and it works great.
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS Babs!! Love the shells under the cloches, that large one looks so pretty on the silver tray!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYour foyer looks so pretty. I'm glad you didn't take the cloches to the shed. I love how the one is reflected in the picture.
ReplyDeleteI'm having a garage sale tomorrow, so lots of work.

It looks beautiful! I love the shells, I am adding more and more shells to my home, too. You made me giggle when you said you were "on the way to..." Most of my projects start that way, too. :)
ReplyDeletehave fun working in your yard. I'll be joining you there too - well, not in your yard but in my own. haha
Babs,
ReplyDeleteIt looks so great! Lots of bling. Great vignette!
Very pretty summery vignette, Babs.
ReplyDeleteI like your summer vignette in your foyer. I change mine up alot too. I'm not sure what we'll be doing this weekend. My husband is taking the kids to the blade show going on down at The Galleria. We went to the pool today and then out to dinner. Going to just hang out I guess. We need to clean out our garage, but that's no fun!
ReplyDeleteOh this is all just so lovely! It really does sparkle and you have inspired me to go and make some changes to my own entry. :-) Thank you so much for sharing this with us at Inspiration Friday!

Your shells and coral in the cloches and bowls look so elegant. They are arranged so expertly! Love the lily arrangement too!
ReplyDeleteI love cloches. I got my first one this Spring and am really enjoying decorating with it.
ReplyDeleteVery nice shell colleciton. And that seed pod is amazing. Day lilies are one of my favorite flowers. Mine have been in bloom for several weeks now which is a very nice surprise. They usually only bloom for a few weeks. I'm planning to finish adding hardware to my kitchen cabinets this weekend. So excited to see it all come together. Enjoy your garden!

I wish I had the passion for changing my foyer decor around often like you do! Mine pretty much stays the same with the exception of late Fall and Christmas. You always come up with such pretty vignettes, and this one is no exception!
ReplyDeleteYou are right...it certainly sparkles...love that vignette for summer!
ReplyDeleteBabs,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful vignette! Those cloches add illumination to the chest! I'm glad you kept the pillow, too! Looks great in the foyer! This total look is so inviting...
fondly,
Pat
