A Quick Coastal-Inspired Tablescape

I hope you don't mind having a quick breakfast with me, but I'm in a rush...

...I set a simple, coastal-inspired table for us...

...using my trusty ol' Blue Willow and a few shells and starfish...

... blue and white stripe napkins and my everyday flatware...

...mixed with blue floral napkins and round woven place mats.

I grabbed a bowl of Georgia peaches for the centerpiece...

...and added a little shabby blue carrier I found at GW, to hold mini cinnamon buns from the grocery store.
Of course, I added a starfish to brighten the table. I didn't have time to drag out a tablecloth.

Hurry and eat your cereal...we're off to the beach...

...in my dreams...(sigh).

I can't go to the beach, but I'm happy to be joining
Coastal Charm for Nifty Thrifty Tuesday
Kathleen@ Cuisine Kathleen for Let's Dish, on Wednesday night at 7pm.

Hugs and beach dreams,
Babs

  2. It's beautifully beachy. Somehow, you made a coastal themed breakfast look a little formal and elegant. It looks like what you might get at a quaint B& B on Jekyll or St. Simons. Love it.

  11. If you're going to the beach after eating your cereal and rolls, you'd better wait 2 hours before jumping in the ocean!!!! You can while away the 2 hours enjoying the beautiful table you created!!! I think it looks fantastic without a tablecloth!!!!!!

  18. Hi, Babs. This is my kind of table--not too fussy, but pretty and crisp and beachy and inviting. I really like your flatware, and it's perfect with the setting. Interesting how shells or starfish can change the tone of a 'scape, isn't it? Love it! ~Zuni

  22. It looks absolutely charming & tastefully "beachy." I'm drooling over that beautiful bowl of Georgia peaches -- sorry, that's so impolite, but I've never had one & they look delish! No beach for us either unless we drive 7 hours....lol!
