By now, I'm sure everyone has seen, or tried, the yummy Nutella Crescent recipe that's going around Blogland.
Well, the other day, I was wanting peach pie; and since I'm not much of a pie baker, I decided to make a different version of the crescents using peach preserves instead of Nutella...sort of like peach pie in a little package.
The ingredients are:
~ sugar with a sprinkling of cinnamon
~1 can of 8 crescent rolls
~ peach preserves
~ non-stick cooking spray, if you don't have a non-stick pan...this is important, unless you like scrubbing baking pans.
It looks like I put on too much preserves, but that's ok. They'll just be more yummy.
I lightly sprayed the pan with non-stick cooking spray and rolled the little bundles in the sugar.
Some recipes say bake, then roll the crescents in sugar, but I roll them in the cinnamon sugar before I bake them. Either way is fine.
Bake according to package directions...I think it's 375 deg. for 11 min. or so...what ever your crescent roll package says.
Oops...some of the preserves ran out during baking, but wait till they cool slightly, push the runny part back toward the rolls with the edge of a spatula, and they'll turn out fine. They just seem to absorb the excess.
Warning: DO NOT TOUCH the runny part with your fingers when it's hot!!! Believe me! :)
When the crescents cool, remove them with a spatula to a serving plate.
Yummy! Tastes just like peach pie, and ready in a flash.
Hope you like them.
Have a great weekend.

Love this idea! Why hadn't we thought of this before? Thanks so much!

Excellent! My kind of recipe! Thanks for sharing!
OH, my that looks good. Thanks for the idea. I guess all kinds of preserves would work.
This is an absolute must for me to make for the family. We love peach preserves (I guess other preserves will do as well too) and I don't need the temptation of a whole pie sitting here. Pinning this!
Goodness! Look at all that goodness. Such an easy trick to have old fashioned comfort food.
Your finished photo looks just like a food magazine.
Thanks for sharing your version.
Have a great weekend. Ginger

cuuuute! and so quick and easy! :) Great idea, thank you!
Hugs,
I'm making those for breakfast tomorrow!
What can I say other than yummy! I make something similar using jam and two of the crescents, crimping the edges together, like little triangle pies.
They look so yummy, Babs! I never thought of that! Years ago my students used to fill them with chocolate chips for our French Club parties... back when chocolate croissants were impossible to find. I like your idea! Enjoy tomorrow!...hugs...Debbie

Babs, this looks delicious! I may have to try these for dessert this evening! My hubby loves anything "peachy"! Thanks for sharing!
Like Mary, I have not seen the Nutella crescents either. But since I have a package on crescents in the fridge, I will be giving this recipe a try!

ummm, these look delicious.
One of my very favorite "bought" dessert is the little fruit pies from Pepperidge Farms. I just baked 12 of them today for our family get together tonight for Father's Day. I always put a little butter on top, and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Ummm, served warm with ice cream is HARD TO BEAT.
can't wait to make some of these of yours, too. :)
Aren't you a smart cookie! This was a great idea! Wish I had a plate of those right now!!!
Anything that simple works for me!
