...the impatiens are looking good...
...the "nursery" under the deck is ok. I've been dividing a lot of plants and bringing others here, because of the heat...
...the day lily foliage is looking pretty dry. I'll definitely need to water these.
This was a surprise! It's not an upside down carrot...must be a fungus. I watered the strawberries and tomatoes like crazy yesterday...
...and this thing was there this morning...weird!
The plants on the deck are doing ok, but I'm having to water once, and sometimes twice a day.
The only thing I don't need to water is the robin who built a nest under the eaves. Poor thing's got to be hot, and she's only been on the nest three days.
Hope y'all are having a nice cool Summer Sunday.

Love all your flowers. Birds are cold blooded and don,t get hot. You must not be on AT&T like I am. I have been down going on three days. Now they say it should be up tommorrow morning. Every time they give a fix time it changes again. If it wasn't for my iPad I would not be able to look at anything. I can't do my blog on it though. Ugh!
ReplyDeleteLovely plants but I must say that fungus is indeed weird looking. Almost looks like an alien deposited it. How sweet to have a robin nesting in your garden.

Susan and Bentley
I love your day lilies!!! That is a cool fungus too!
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are fantastic! :) And the fungus is just the funniest thing! haha! The robin is so sweet, how lucky of you that she chose your house! :
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Most everything around here is dried up, we are less about 6 inches of rain from last year at this time. The weeds, however, seem to grow and grow,So I have to pull and pull, Richard from My Old Historic House.
ReplyDeleteBabs,
ReplyDeleteLovely gardens, dear friend! I adore the purple petunias and the creeping jenny in your potted arrangement! Moma bird was a surprise! Nature never ceases to amaze me! Have a great week!
Fondly,
Pat
That little bird in his nest is so sweet! Don't they find the darndest places to nest? Ha! I have coco planters on my porch railing that have to be watered daily with this heat. Just terrible! We really need some rain.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely walk. I have been watering my deck pots every day too. They seem to just wilt in the afternoon. Hope all is well with you...I don't have a blog roll anymore that updates with current posts. I need to find another way to keep track of my favorite blogs but so far I haven't come up with anything! Have a good week Babs ~ Ann
ReplyDeleteThe pot on the deck is so pretty. Love the purple with bright green vine. Moneywort, I think.
ReplyDeleteThe orange "carrot" is pretty fascinating!
Thanks for sharing your walk in the garden~ It's real easy to lose plants when it's so hot. I put plastic in my coco planters this year to help them stay moist longer. I poked holes in them. So far it's looking good. Even though the day lily plants look a little dry the flowers look great!
ReplyDeleteI looked up that weird mushroom. It's known as a "stink horn" http://www.mushroomexpert.com/mutinus_elegans.html
Great plants. ovely pictures.

What a sweet little bird, I love finding nests tucked in our trees and bushes! Your flowers looks so pretty Babs, have a great week!
ReplyDeleteWow- that is one weird fungus! Your plants are certainly looking good. I have to make an effort to remember to water all of my plants and flowers. LOL. I used to kill everything before we spent big bucks on the backyard. :-) Sue
