Why did I buy this?
I have no daughters or granddaughters to play with it...
...it's rather shabby...
...and, I have no place for it in the house...
...I do like it in the garden, though...
...with a pitcher of flowers on the seat...
...and, it was only $2.52 cents at GW...so stinking cute and, I love it.
I must be reverting to my childhood, because it's a doll's high chair. :)
Hugs,
Babs

"Oh My Dear"!!! It would have FOLLOWED ME HOME too!!! Definitely!!! I LOVE it and look at that color. SO pretty! You CAN use it just like that IN THE HOUSE too... There is ALWAYS a place for it.
ReplyDeleteHave a fun week,

How sweet and I love the flower arrangement. Who cares about what others think -at my age I do whatever makes me happy!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness - what GW do you go to that it was only $2.52? We see much higher prices than that here in PA. Cute!! Will weather and deteriorate very quickly outdoors w/o a sealer. But for $2 - that might be just fine :)
ReplyDeleteBabs, what a cute accent for your garden! I have seen a lot of chairs, but never a high chair! How cute is that?!
ReplyDeleteOh...this is darling, Babs! I never would have thought to use it as a planter but it looks wonderful! Pretty flowers, too!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
It is sweet and that was a great idea to put it in your garden with the flowers.
ReplyDelete$2.52? What?!??!?! Surely you left a digit out! What a great deal on such a cool piece!!!! LOVE what you did with it! VERY imaginative!
ReplyDeleteThat's why you bought it..'cause it's so stinking cute. And it looks fabulous in the garden with the flowers.

Everytime I see a vintage wooden high chair at a yard sale...I hesitate...I had no clue what I would do with it...but yet...I hesitate...maybe next time I'll bring it home too! That color looks great with those flowers!!

PS...I will soon be your newest follower!
I like it too! It's probably because the color is so wonderful. I love it used as a planter. those pink flowers look great against the blue color of the chair.
ReplyDeleteThat is adorable...the flowers look wonderful against the pale blue.
ReplyDeleteVery cute. You found the perfect use for it, too.

ReplyDeleteYou bought it for the same reason that my heart skips a beat when I see a child's tea set or a lovely doll. Charmingly childlike. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so very much for your friendship and loving support!
I still have my own wooden doll high chair and the one that my daughters' had. I love wooden doll furniture. I wouldn't have thought to put it in the garden, but it's really cute there!

I am still laughing at the $2.52. What's with the two cents. Someone put in their two cents worth.
Thanks for sharing, Ginger
So adorable! I wouldn't have been able to pass it up for that price either! Love your gorgeous pitcher of flowers seated on it :)
ReplyDeleteBabs,
ReplyDeleteI have NO idea...but I'm glad you did! It makes an adorable planter. Perhaps it is the comforting blue hue? Too darn cute, dear friend!
