Karin volunteered to try, saying she remembered making them as a child. She looked at the directions, and in a little while, she'd made several.
The Moravian stars that she made are some of my favorite ornaments.
This year, I watched with a smile, as our younger grandson, now 18 months old, placed the stars on our Christmas tree.
Wishing you the simple joys of Christmas.
Hugs,
Babs

Good Morning Babs, It is lovely to see you again. Your grandson is gorgeous and he looks like he is concentrating very hard to hang that Christmas decoration onto the tree. The stars are beautiful. Have a wonderful day. Best Wishes Daphne
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet post! Enjoy the season:@)
ReplyDeleteNot sure I have seen them before but I like to try new things. The photo of your grandson is adorable.
ReplyDeleteSuch a timely post, Babs! I had some clear acrylic ones in my most recent post that I described as "3-D", and Jewel of Carolina Jewel's Table told me the name of them. I had never heard that term (or at least I don't remember it!), so I received a bit of an education this weekend. To see these constructed of paper is really cool! I don't know that I would have the patience to make them, but I'll bet I could bribe a couple of tweeners I know into performing the task! :-)
ReplyDeleteHow precious Babs :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of your grandson near the treee...that's a treasured photo! I have some of those stars my aunt made with ribbon for placecards for one of our Christmas gatherings. I have a whole box full of the placecards she made for the family each year. Seeing this picture eminded me of them!
How pretty! I love that they have sentimental value to them. Your grandson is precious.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty Babs!! Your grandson is a sweetie!!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful stars-thanks for the tutorial.
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet and precious memory. I know that she became real family and a bond was forged that very day. Your grandson is adorable! I'm going to give these a try, they are so pretty!

Oh my gosh...I love this post. When my kids were small we always went to my parents' and helped trim their tree. Wonderful memories! Hope you are enjoying December with all the hustle and bustle!
ReplyDeleteThese are dear, both the story and the stars! My daughter makes them too, they are tricky indeed. :)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
