Whew! Our kids and grand kids have gone...
the party guests have gone...
my cold has finally gone...more or less, and I'm ba-a-c-k.
It seems like I've been on blog break forever, and I really missed y'all!
Here are a couple of things I worked on today.
I love a fresh door wreath, but the weather has been so warm lately, that I'm wondering if it'll make it through Christmas. I put the wreath up last week, but didn't like the bow that came with it...
...so I took it off and added two faux ornament picks from the craft store.
Logs in the fireplace got greenery, pine cones and Nandina berries.
Living room mantel with transferware and silver...
...and a bit of garland...
The large urn of paperwhites on the mantel, is just beginning to bloom.
Here, the pots are getting a bit of sun in the morning.
That's it for today. I can't wait to see what all of you are working on.
I'll be by to visit.
Hugs,
Babs

Babs, your holiday decor is so pretty and festive! Your mantel is beautiful; and I love all of your holiday touches. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteBabs, the wreath is so pretty. I love fresh greens. I hung one in our dining room last year and think I'll do the same this season. Our tree is decorated along with a small tabletop tree. I'm definitely into the spirit now.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a good visit. We had house guest who left late yesterday evening. ~ Sarah
Glad you're back, Babs! It all looks great. Nothing beats fresh greens. xo
ReplyDeleteChristmas is around the corner, where has the year gone? Hope you have a wonderful one. Richard from My Old Historic House
ReplyDeleteSo lovely, I'd love to sit by the fireplace and sip a cup of tea. Looks so inviting.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back! Darn on the cold! My husband had the effects of one for a month! Your wreath looks great- I like the ornaments! Love the glowing mantel and the tree! That's one of the nicest parts of the holidays when evening hits, the lights are on and you relax!
ReplyDeleteHi Babs, glad you are better. We have flu going around here. Love the wreath and all your decor. Olive
ReplyDeleteGlad you're feeling better! I, too, have had a cold lingering on for the last 10 days or so, and it's a bummer. Seems like EVERY year!!!! :-( Cute idea to use the pics on the wreath. I like the way you positioned them! Your mantel looks beautiful! Even though we're just getting a little glimpse of the tree, I can tell it's a winner, too! LOVE what you did in the fireplace! Never thought of that! We seldom use ours, and this would be a great way to dress that bad boy up for the holiday season!!!
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas decorations all look so pretty! I love how you used alot of natural greenery with pinecones and berries in your decor. Aren't you lucky to have a red front door too? It sets off your wreath beautifully.
ReplyDeleteHi Babs....love the wreath on your door....weather is getting colder finally so it should last until Christmas...we even bought our stray cat a dog house to sleep in...it's very windy down here tonight....
ReplyDeleteHeard you have been sick....the Boss has had the flu for a month....can't get rid of it...he actually passed out in the diner at dinner the other night after a coughing fit...he couldn't breath and down went his head onto the table....very scary...Have a great Christmas and I'm hoping for snow....not here...we will be in NYC!
Looking very festive, Babs. The paperwhites are doing well. The silver and transferware look beautiful on the mantel.
