Dogs and Pomegranates

Hi everyone! Hope you had a great weekend.
I did a bit of shopping last week after my doctor's appointment. I checked out a consignment shop I haven't visited before...just happened to be down the street from the doctor's office. I found a couple of things, and naturally, I started playing.

You know I like dog figures, especially Staffordshire spaniels. I really like the "real" ones, but because of the price, I buy the decorative ones...well, I do have one small "real" one.

I already had this small spaniel, and then I found the larger one in the shop. Don't they look like mama and baby?

I decided to use spring greens in the entry because it was so dark and dreary. I wanted to give it a lighter, fresher look.

Live plants are especially nice in Winter, because they clean and freshen the air. This little Peace Lily should be ok on the chest for a while, then I'll move it to a brighter spot.
~~~~~~
I did use warmer colors on the kitchen table for lunch, though.
 I like the colors of the rooster, so I added the blue and white napkins. This year, I'm trying to use more blues around the house, hoping they will "play well" with the warm colors.
Pomegranates are favorites of mine, too. Love their color, fresh or faux.
It may be cool in the entry, but it's warm in the kitchen, and I'm having fun playing with the dogs and pomegranates...and roosters.
Hugs and bye for now.
Your entryway looks fabulous! The green and blue are fresh and light- great winter blues buster! The dogs are cute! I have a decorative set- but I doubt I'll ever have the real kind! Love the kitchen table! Those pomegranates are beauties! Cute rooster dishes!
You were so fortunate, the little dogs look exactly alike. How sweet they look in the entry.
I always love your vignettes, Babs, but I am crazy about the dogs. I have a very small collection of Staffordshire dogs and just love them.
I love you new finds. Those dog statues are so classic and look great in your foyer. I like the blue and green colors you brought in there. I love those rooster plates you're using too.
They pull out all of your pretty red, blue, yellow and green colors out.
I love the little dog figurines too. I think your two are so cute...to my untrained eye they look like the real thing! I don't have a live plant in my house right now. Not one. I should probably do something about that because yours looks wonderful. Hope all is well...Ann
Oh, wow, aren't you happy you stopped in. Love your doggies! I'm on the search for some in black and white. I stopped in my favorite consignment store yesterday, spied the perfect piece of furniture that I've been searching for, only to see a sold sign on it. The lady was at the register checking out. ;-( So I'm still searching.........Sarah
First of all - love your blog name (and love the series of the same name)!
Your dogs were meant to be together - glad you reunited them! I'm a pomegranate girl myself!
Hey Babs, Thanks for stopping by The 2 Seasons and for your nice comments. I, too, love those Staffordshire spaniels. I guess it's because we have owned two English springer spaniels during our marriage. I don't have any of the figurines but would love at least one real Staffordshire dog antiques.
