A Few New Purchases

Hi, everyone.
Can you believe it's May 1st already?
I hate to say it but, there's not a whole lot going on at our house today, except a trip to the grocery store. Whoopee!
So, I thought I'd show you a few recent purchases.

This is a little guest towel I bought at Queen of Hearts in Alpharetta. The oyster shell votive holder is from their Buford store.

I wish they had two guest towels with an R monogram, but, maybe they'll get more by the next time I go there.

The green compote is from Hobby Lobby ... mangoes from the grocery store. :)
The angel vine is growing like crazy. I've already pinched it back several times, but it needs another "hair cut".

"New" lamp is from GW. The shade was even in good shape, and I'm glad because looking for new lampshades is not one of my favorite things to do.
Here's were the oyster shell holder is for right now.

Also from GW is this vintage engraving/etching ?...I never know the difference...of a Berlin street scene.

It's signed, but I have no idea who the artist is. Any of y'all know?

Hubby just popped in and said he's going out to get the wheelbarrow, so I'd better go. We're adding some top soil to the holes and low spots in the yard...before it rains again. I really need to do some weeding, too.
Here are a couple of things blooming in the yard today.

The Knock Out roses in the back yard...

...and the Miss Kim lilac in the front yard.
The fragrance is heavenly.
Happy May Day!
Hugs,
Babs

Happy May 1, Babs. You know I LOVE the oyster shell votive, and of course I have three just like yours. I use them all the time. xo

Oh, you've found so many pretty things! I know how you feel about lampshades. I have pretty good luck switching them around at Target, the lamps and shades tend to be the same size, but they don't change the inventory often. And I usually like the shades that come with the lamps at Homegoods. I love your angel vine but I don't think i could get one to grow that way.

Your flowers are stunning! I bet you loved the fresh air!

Happy may Day!

XO,
Jane

Oh my goodness, I love your new treasures. The little handtowel with the monogram is gorgeous and so is the shell votive holder. I love, love, love your angel hair topiary, it is gorgeous. I need to make one of these. Hugs, Marty

Great finds and your yard is looking pretty. When you said you are going to fill the holes and lower areas, it made me think of our yard too, lol. Those mangoes are so yummy!...Christine

I love your new finds, Babs! Thanks for giving us a peek. Enjoy your time outdoors. We're supposed to get record lows here in Texas!

Wow...you have a TON of knockout roses!!!! And they ARE a knockout with that brilliant color! It's wonderful that flowers are blooming there and you're showing definite signs of Spring. Still waiting here. Expecting 1-2 inches of snow tonight. What in the world is goin' on??!?!?!?

I hope they have more of the guest towels when you return. That one is REALLY nice! The fabric looks so smooth!

Congratulations on keeping your angel vine up! I do not have that green thumb, so I appreciate it when I see people making an effort and actually SUCCEEDING at growing plants indoors!!! :-)

Have a great weekend, Babs!

I love your knockout roses! I don't know what I do wrong but they surely don't look like yours.
Love your bargains. Don't let Ron see that votive he will be right over to snitch it.
Come by and see what happened to my Amaryllis. It is sad.
Blessings for a great weekend, Ginger
