Spray Paint It!

Hi, Y'all!
Whew, I'm dragging!
Yesterday, we worked in the yard planting and transplanting. We still have more to do, and I'll show you that when we get a little farther along.
In the meantime, here's a little egret planter I found.

It didn't look exactly like this when I found it.

Really pitiful!
The glaze was rough and cracked, and the paint looked worn, but I dragged it home because I have a thing for Egrets and pottery from the nineteen forties and fifties
So, I got out the Heirloom White spray paint and went to it.

I picked a few sprigs of Leucothoe to fill the planter part. It looks sort of tropical with the egret.

It sits on the secretary with other coastal things.

                                   ~~~~~~~~ AND ~~~~~~~~~~
When I was checking out the back yard today, I managed to get a photo of "Newbie", one of our ferals...having an afternoon snoozle.
And, I'm ready for a little snoozle, too.
Hugs,
Babs
He looks really good in heirloom white. I spray painted a couple owls last fall. It does work well.
Good Morning Babs, You have been a busy bee. I would never have thought of spray painting, but you have given me an idea for a lamp stand which I have....mmmm must go hunting for spray paint.
You have made such a difference to the egret, it looks so much nicer now and beautifully display.
Best Wishes to you,
Daphne
You huffed and puffed and breathed wonderful new life into this egret!!! What a transformation!!!! It looks great, Babs! I always forget that paint can make a huge difference. Maybe it's because I'm lazy! :-)
You did a great job transforming that egret planter. It's much prettier in all white. It looks perfect on your secretary. I didn't know you had stray cats living near you. That's kind of sad that he doesn't have an official home!
A fun planter Babs. I really like it with the new coat of paint. Yard work tuckers us all out. I love it, but I walk like a zombie at the end of the day. lol! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
Hi Babs, Great job with the egret. I love them too. You did a great job with it. Looks great on the secretary. I am working in the garden as well. No veggies, just flowers and shrubs. I have been cutting some of the azaleas almost to the ground. I have been doing a little each week and Bob is helping. He sits in a chair and lobs off the branches. I load them in the cart and haul to the street for pickup. Whew, I am dragging too.
Hugs, Ginger
