Spring Blooms

Because of the crazy weather, our garden is late blooming this year. We've been so hot and dry the last couple of years, I don't mind the cooler temps and rain.
I'm also running late, but happy to be joining Alison's Favorites on the First.
Here are some of the late bloomers in my garden.

White iris ~

Lily of the Valley, and a weed ~

Huge American dogwood blossoms. I left my hand in the photo so you can see the size of the blossoms.
They're the largest this tree has ever had...must be all the rain.

One of my favorite azaleas...George L. Taber

This sedum combination probably isn't considered a flower,
but I like the color and texture. It's in a pot on the deck.

This 2011 May basket that I put together, is one of my all time favorites...you can tell, since I've shown it to y'all several times in the past. :)

What are your favorite flowers?
Please stop by Alison's to see everyone's favorite flowers, and join in the linky party.
Hugs,
Babs

Beautiful flowers! I agree about not minding the cooler wetter year. I am enjoying the flowers longer. Last year my tulips bloomed for about a day and were gone because of the heat.

Babs, your garden looks happy. I don't have a favorite flower, but I adore white flowers in general. Would love to grow Lily of the Valley. Thanks for sharing your garden blooms. ~ Sarah

You've really got some pretty flowers in bloom right now. I love Lily of the Valley! I didn't know that grew in our region. Hmmm.....I'm going to have to plant some of that then because I have a lot of it (fake) inside my house. It's such a delicate and sweet flower.

Wow, those Iris are gorgeous and so are the Dogwoods and Azaleas. I do miss certain bloomers that we had when we lived in Oregon, but we have some pretty things here, too.

My garden is later this year too but your is much farther along. It's been a couple of years since we visited Georgia in May but I remember how beautiful it was.

Beautiful blooms!
