Rustic Garden Bottle Stakes

Hi, Everyone!
Y'all have probably seen these bottle stakes online at crazy prices, but I decided to make my own...for FREE!

Mr. UD...(Hubby's new name...I call him lots of names  :), cut some tree branches for the stakes, and sharpened the lower end to make it easy to stick in the ground.

All my wine bottles are on metal stakes in the garden, click HERE to see that post.
So, I used vinegar bottles, which work great. They're just a bit smaller.

No tutorial needed, really....

...I just wrapped the twine tightly around the stick a couple of times and tied it... then, around the bottle a couple of times and tied that.
Next, I wrapped the twine between the bottle and the stick to secure it more.
Mr. UD called it "lashing"...must be a nautical term.

This balsamic vinegar bottle is short, so I wrapped the middle and the neck, starting with the middle. It only takes a couple of minutes, and you're done.

That really brightens a shady spot in the garden...and for Free
Wouldn't a group of these be great for a party?

Oh I like this idea. I'll see whether I can copy this - it looks so beautiful with the flowers in the bottles.

These would be very pretty, lining a path, or scattered among the rhododendrons at a garden party.
