Santa's Snack Mix

Here's a recipe that's always a big hit at our house.
It's a little sweet, salty, crunchy, chewy and yummy!

Santa's Snack Mix
**************
2 cups small pretzels
1 cup pecan halves...or maybe a few more
1 cup, or 5 oz bag of dried cherries
1 egg white
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt

Preheat oven to 225 degrees.
Mix pretzels, pecan halves and cherries in a large bowl.
In a small bowl, beat egg white until foamy, and pour over the pretzel mixture; toss until well coated.
In another small bowl, mix sugar, cinnamon and salt.
Sprinkle that over the pretzel mixture, tossing until well coated.
Spread evenly on a greased baking sheet...I use a jelly roll pan.
Bake one hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
Let cool completely in the pan, and then store in an airtight container until ready to serve.
Enjoy!

Happy Snacking!

Babs, I bought the stuff to make the traditional Chex mix. We love something a bit salty at Christmas. This mix sounds wonderful! I love dried cherries! I am pinning it and will try it sometime for sure. Thanks for sharing it with SYC. Have a joyous Christmas celebration!

Jann
