I'm Late, I'm Late...

Hi ~ Hope y'all had a great weekend.
Our kids and grands will be arriving in six days, and as usual, I'm beginning to feel like the white rabbit in Alice in Wonderland...running around like crazy, trying to get things ready. We've spent the last week or so, getting the yard planted and transplanted, and now, I've finally started doing a little decorating in the house.

Today, I worked on the kids' table for Easter dinner. I used a piece of fabric to make a tablecloth, opting for bright colors instead of pastels...since the house will be running over with lots of  boys.

I wanted something for the "centerpiece" that was kid friendly, so,   I added one little bunny...

...and another, with a little pot of carrots behind him.

Dollar Tree clay flower pots hold favors.

Carrot shaped eggs hold a little toy...instead of candy...there'll be plenty of that from the Easter Bunny...I know...because the EB told me so. :)
I just noticed the table cloth looks so wrinkled...honestly, I did iron it.
I'll show you the little bit of decorating I've done so far. I may end up changing a couple of things, but this is how it looks for now.

Living room side table holds a ceramic egg...

...vintage-looking eggs in a hurricane...

... and a cross for the true meaning of Easter.

Hare E. Rabbit is in the living room for now. He's finally getting in Easter mode, and let me put a brown satin ribbon on him. Hopefully, I'll get a little more done to make a vignette with him.

Now, I need your help...please tell me...

...this is the first time the grands have been here for Easter.
Do you think 60 plastic eggs will be enough for an Easter egg hunt for two little boys, or should I buy more?  I have no idea.
We also want to have a family egg hunt with nine people.
Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated. HELP!

Your kid table looks adorable!!!! My goodness! As do all of your Easter touches! And I think 60 is great! In my family we have so many kids running around that we give each kid a color so that everyone gets the same amount. Have a wonderful time with your family friend! Nicole

Your kids table look so cute...they are going to love it. All those bright colors. And I love the decorations you have scattered here and there, especially the white tulips, my favorite flower.

I think 60 eggs sounds perfect. Hopefully it's outside!!

Babs, those little guys are going to have a great Easter at your home. The kid's table is cute! 60 eggs for two sounds like a terrific egg hunt. That will keep them busy for awhile. '-)
I'm envious of all you've done in the garden. I'll be out in mine tomorrow. So much to do it is overwhelming.

So cute Babs! I'm more than sure that 60 eggs will be enough! They're going to love Grandma and a Grandpa for all this- creating good memories is the best gift! That's a beautiful cross. I need to get one- I tried finding one at the store but no luck. Time for the Internet.

Hello Babs,
We are certainly busy doing the same thing. I’m taking some tips from you since you are way ahead of me. I’m going to the dollar store, I love your little clay pots. I need to set a little table too for Easter. We had a time trying to work in the yard with all the rain. Your spring touches look amazing. Of course the Cross is first on my love list and I love the bunny with the bow and eggs, adorable.
Happy Easter and Spring Babs.............

Hugs,
Emily

Your house looks so festive, Babs...ready for Easter! I think 60 should be plenty of eggs. I am still finding eggs from egg hunts with my now 13 year old grandson! lol Enjoy your family's visit! Having those little grands at your house will make this Easter so special! Hugs...Debbie

I think it depends on the age of the kids hunting for eggs. The younger they are, the harder it is for them to find the eggs and therefore you need less. If they're older, they will run fast and scoop them up in no time and you'll want more to keep them hunting longer. I love how pretty your table looks for the kids!

I love your hurricane arrangement, so pretty, and that you added in the cross, too. I think 60 eggs will be enough, I have 2 girls and that would be enough for them. Take care - Dawn @ We Call It Junkin.com

Your grands will love what you've done! 60 eggs should be plenty, I think. I really don't know anything about it, since I have no grands yet. But, 30 per kid is way more than we ever had growing up. I love your Easter touches - especially the cross. :-)
Blessings!

Run, Rabbit...run!!!! You've gotten a lot done, but it sounds to me like you have lots more to do. It's looking good! I know your grandsons will have a great time with all you have put together. I think 60 eggs should be enough. They're going to enjoy however many you plant in the yard for them!

60 eggs sounds like plenty! I fill 150 with coins for 15 kidlets. To keep it fair, they each can find 10.
Love your rabbits and other decor. Have a wonderful time with your family!

You've inspired me to get out into the yard and get things done and also some Easter decorating. I really like the way you placed Easter grass in the urn with decorated eggs, good idea.
