Sunday in the Garden~May 4, 2014

It's a beautiful Sunday here in Georgia, and I hope you're having a great day. Come see what's happening in my yard and garden.

The bargain pansies I bought before Easter are still blooming by the driveway.

Roses ~ Teasing Georgia (yellow) and Madame Alfred Carriere ~

The Knock Out roses are growing like weeds. These are about six feet tall.

More Knock Outs ~

The Chinese Fringe Tree is blooming ~ I discovered this in our yard several years ago. I love finding surprises.

Speaking of surprises...I found this little funny face growing in the mulch.

Look what I found in a shrub I was about to prune this morning! Yay!

Wishing you a week full of beautiful surprises.

Good Morning Babs, It is nice to catch up with you and what better way than a stroll around your garden. Roses are my favourite flowers and it is lovely to see yours in bloom.... they are gorgeous. At the moment I have leaves on my roses and that is all, but hopefully next month I can enjoy some flowers. I have never heard of or seen a Chinese Fringe Tree, it is so interesting.
Have a wonderful day.
Best wishes
Daphne

Ahh I wish I was ahead further in the spring than I am. Seeing these pictures makes me want to get out there. We had rain all last week and it's been chilly. Soon!
Love the little volunteer panie and that Chinese Fringe Tree! Looks like that nest is ready for little ones!

All of your flowers and shrubs look so good! I wish my knockout roses were as large as yours. We've had ours for years and they're still small.

I enjoyed joining you on your garden walk!! I've had knockout roses for several years now and they had really grown. I decided to give them a trim in February. It was quite a job but they are coming out nicely this spring. They are 'color workhorses,' aren't they?!

What a lovely blog you have. I discovered you on Outdoor Wednesday.

The funny thing is my husband and I are currently watching DVDs of the original "Upstairs Downstairs" TV show and then I came upon your blog! I was so surprised by the title of your blog!

Anyway, your photos are beautiful! :)
