Blogging vs Soccer

Just so you'll know I haven't forgotten y'all.
We've been in soccer lock-down for a couple of weeks now, with the FIFA World Cup going on.

Hard as I tried, I couldn't get a project going this week.
But, this morning I did manage a quick floral arrangement for the book case.
Sorry it's a little out of focus. Hubby kept saying take a pic of the tv screen...

...so here we are at half time, and I'm hurrying to get this post out. :)

Oh, and after lunch, I did put a few flags on the deck, and ran back in to get ready for the USA vs Belgium game.  Whew!

USA! USA! USA!
I hope to get some things ready for the 4th. It's to the grocery store tomorrow, to buy hot dogs, buns and all the fixin's for Friday.

I love your patriotic flower pot, it's so happy and fresh, along with the big planter with American flags.
I'm also watching the Soccer WC and now I'm sad because of the USA's defeat. At least Argentina won. I do want the cup left in the American continent. Wish it's Brazil, lol!
Happy 4th. of July holidays for you all.

That's cute Bab's! I hadn't figured you for a sports fan! I get updates on the news but that's it. Have a great 4th Babs!

Babs, your patriotic touches look great. Looking forward to the 4th. Sounds like you are going to have a delicious all American celebration.

Can you believe we've hardly watched the World Cup games? My husband is more of a football fan, so he really doesn't watch any sports in the summer. Love your cute arrangement with the flowers and flags. We're still trying to decide what we're going to do on the 4th.

We will forgive your absence, Babs. The whole world seems to be focused on the games! My son played soccer as a kid and one of my husbands was a professional player, but I never really got into the sport, try as I may. I'm glad to see the U.S. going all out in support, though. It's a shame that we're out of the running now. :-(

I hope you have a wonderful 4th!
