Stormy Day Tray

We're really having stormy weather here in Georgia today, and families to the north of us, in Adairsville, have suffered severe property damage, and loss of at least one life. Please remember these families  in your thoughts and prayers.

Here's a tray I worked on while I was checking on the weather on TV.

I moved the vase of tulips to the kitchen table near the window, so maybe they will open.

My little majolica hen tureen...and her chick...see it peeking out?

Salt and pepper shakers from my mom's Poppy Trail dishes...

...this is a new tray I got a couple of weeks ago.

Love the chunky texture of it.

Napkins and an old Fannie Farmer cookbook ~ Maybe I'll find a new recipe while I wait for the storm to be over.

Hope the weather is better where you are.
Hugs,
Babs

It sure has been a scary day here in GA. I hate tornado weather. We kept our power, and had lots of rain, but no really bad storms.

Love your tray. The items you've gathered are so warm and cozy looking.

Babs,
Being in what is known as "Tornado Alley", I will definitely keep those affected by the recent storm in my prayers, dear friend!
What a lovely trayscape!!!
I adore the texture of your wicker tray!
I'm trying to work some more texture throughout our rooms here on the Prairie!
What a cute vignette with all your accessories. Good for you keeping your mind occupied while the storm passed through. I usually cook!!!
Fondly,
Pat

What the heck is going on down there with the weather??!?!! I saw on the news that deadly tornadoes ripped through several areas and just made a mess of everything!!! I really feel for the people who have lost loved ones or property. You just wouldn't expect tornadoes this time of year! Your tray is very pretty with those gorgeous tulips!!!!!!

I love that basket tray and how you styled it. Aren't those trays handy to have? I'm so glad that the storms have moved out. It was a tense day yesterday. We got so much rain. The street flooded for a little while in front of my house. I hate to think we have the Spring tornado weather still yet to come our way!

How very cozy! I have a weathered looking tray that I use to serve morning coffee. I'm going to have to give it another look. I think I'll have fun decorating it! Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging comment on my blog this morning.

Ooh I like that chicken tureen! She's a keeper! I like your arrangement in the basket. You've gotten a lot of life out of the tulips!
Sorry to hear about the bad storms. We're getting snow, snow and then some snow! It's so up and downlately....a few days ago it was 50!

Any time I see hens or roosters I think of my mother who had quite a collection. The little chick peeking out of the tureen wins me over.
Weather seems to be crazy all over the place, but I'm glad you were not too affected.
