Hey, everyone!
It's good to see y'all again.
I'm sooo sorry I was "absent" all summer, but honestly, I wasn't doing much interesting to blog about, and I didn't want to bore you with my weight loss program and shopping for wardrobe basics...you know, things I needed to do, but weren't very exciting.
It's still warm, here in Georgia...91 degrees today, and I'm dragging my feet, as usual, thinking of Fall.
The plants, which had been in the urns since April, were all but dead, so I headed to Lowe's and I hit the jackpot!
They had some of their plants marked down to a dollar each!
Woo Hoo! My kind of prices.
I got three 'Mint Julep' coral bells, three large white Pentas, 5 mini mums, and a six-pack of purple cabbage...which wasn't on sale.
I filled all three of the urns on my stoop and landing for $15...total!
I left a little room for the cabbage to grow.
They're the edible kind and I'm hoping they don't bolt in the heat. We'll see. We still have several weeks to go before the weather cools down.
Anyway, I'm glad to be back! I've missed y'all.

LOOKS NICE. I need to do mine, too.
ReplyDeleteI need to stop by Lowe's tomorrow and see what the offerings are. It's still hot here, so I don't expect them to have much in. Your assortment looks great, and you certainly did it at a low cost. I like that!
ReplyDeleteHappy Labor Day Weekend!
I would have loved to have heard all about that!
ReplyDeleteLove your urns and plantings!

Those look great Babs. I like the combo of plants you mixed together. All our stores have mums and kale plantsfor sale now. I'm trying to resist! A lot of my plants are going strong but some have pooped out. Good to see you post again!
ReplyDeleteBabs, the urns look wonderful. I need some fall plants and so a trip to Lowes is on my list of to do!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back! I was wondering where you were. Your flowers look great. Those will be pretty for the Fall. I am liking the cooler mornings and nights we've been having. I think once October gets here we'll be in the clear!
ReplyDeleteGreat finds at great prices!!! I love your urns and hope one day soon I can find them at very cheap (my favorite word) prices!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's good you're back!!!
It's so good to hear from you, Babs! Your urns look beautiful. I would love to find some cabbages for my fall veggie garden but no one seems to have them around here. I've been working on propagating those Autumn Joys. Thanks for your directions. Zenda
ReplyDeleteI was concerned that something had happened to you or that my link was not working. I haven't posted in months and need to get back.
