Fruit Salad with Limoncello

Memorial Day weekend is here! Are y'all stocked up with charcoal for the grill, sodas, and a few adult beverages?
If you're are having the usual...hot dogs, hamburgers, barbecue, potato salad, and want something light for dessert, here's just the thing...

...Ina Garten's recipe for Fruit Salad with Limoncello.
Click HERE for the recipe.

It's so hot out here. I'm trying to stay in the shade...it isn't even noon, and it's already 85 degrees.
Whew! After all this, I need a BIG glass of iced tea...or maybe an adult beverage?

Hope y'all have a great Memorial Day weekend...don't forget to fly your flags.
Hugs,
Babs

Babs, this looks like my kind of dessert. I've been eating lemon yogurt with berries, but think I'll try this recipe. ;-)
Love the vignette with the flag in the background. It's time for a new flag around here. Better get one this weekend.
Happy Memorial Day! ~ Sarah

That dessert looks yummy and so pretty too! I agree. It's very hot today! We spent the day at the pool. Tomorrow we're going to the movies. Not sure yet about Monday. Maybe we should just trek over to your house for a bbq then! Love how festive your outdoor table looks. Have a fun long weekend.

Babs, that looks delicious for an al fresco dessert. I was at my local store yesterday and I noticed they are selling a new Limoncello cream which I nearly bought to take on a picnic this weekend. I think they must have seen your recipe as inspiration. Anyway I'm glad I didn't buy their version as homemade is always better. I'll give this a try this week. I would also like you to do a post on a great potato salad recipe too please!

The sunshine looks so good! We have had about a week of rain and it's cold! Maybe we can grill, and try your fruit salad recipe on the 4th of July! LOL!

I know your counter says there are 24 more days 'til summer, but it sure feels like we're already smack dab in the middle of it, doesn't it? Whew! I'm looking out from our hotel room window, and I can just see the sizzle!!! NOT looking forward to going out there this afternoon!!! Your fruit salad looks beautiful, Babs, and the table you have set it on fits right in with summer's beauty. We fly our American flag all year long. I just bought a replacement yesterday since the one up now is just a bit tattered and torn from the winter winds. It'll be going up as soon as we drive up tonight! Enjoy your holiday!!!

You're right about the heat! We were gone for a week, and apparently summer showed up here to house sit.

This looks delicious, and I love your beautiful hydrangeas, too.

Hi Babs!
This dessert sounds fantastic and I love your Memorial Day vignette.
We had all our flags flying here yesterday and invited family friends to come by for a small cookout.
It was 95 degrees here yesterday and felt more like the Fourth of July!

Stay cool, friend.
