Pizza in Atlantic City

New Jersey Road Trip...part 2

We were in Atlantic City visiting our son and his family last week, and decided to check out Revel, the new resort and casino that will open on Memorial Day.

But first, we stopped by Tony Boloney's  for some of their famous Atlantic City Indigenous Pizza.

Tony Boloney's was the winner of the Guy Fieri Cheesesteak Battle at the Atlantic City Food and Wine Festival.

With such rave reviews, we just had to check out the pizza, too.

It's so easy to order.  Step 1...take a menu...
Not only do they have pizza, but subs, pasta bowls, soup and even breakfast.

Look at all the choices...don't you just love the names of the pizzas?...

Everyone was so nice, and even posed for photos.
Sorry, I didn't get this guy's name. I was busy drooling over the pizza.

I think this one was spinach and artichoke dip...Yum!

With so many choices, it was hard to decide which to choose. This is the cheesesteak, which most of us got, but Son was feeling adventurous  and ordered the Yenta, which is a pizza crossed with a Reuben sandwich. I tried a bite of it, and it was really good, too.

Come on, grab a seat. The pizzas will be ready in just a minute...

Mike Hauke, the owner, brought our slices to us and sat down to chat for a few minutes.

Are you sure you don't want another slice?

Well... back in the car. We're headed just down the street to the Revel to see what all the hype is about. Watch for the next post.

Hope y'all have a great weekend, and Happy Mother's Day to all the moms.

My goodness those pizzas look good! I love going to new places to eat. I bet you had fun sampling those. I'm sure there are many good pizza places up where you're visiting too.

Wish we would visit a place like this next time we are in Atlantic City, but usually we just stay close to where we are staying.

I would really love to visit there. I would actually like to try that one inspired by a Reuben sandwich since that's one of my all time favorite tastes. So much more fun than your regular old pizza joint, huh?
