Hi, everyone.
The weather was gorgeous today, and I went shopping! Yay!
I found some great new things, but I spent so much time running errands and shopping, that I didn't have time to get them ready to show you. I'm sorry...
...but, instead, let me show you the shabby tray I got a couple of weeks ago.
I love trayscapes because they're lots of fun to make, and you don't have to clean and rearrange the whole house to get a fresh, new look.
Here's the tray I found...
It's really large, and just right for loading with things to set the table.
It has neat handles, and just a bit of distressing here and there. I loaded it with spring plaid place mats and...
...some Spode Copeland plates that I've had forever...
...and little cabbage cups and saucers.
Hubby made me a shabby shamrock to use for a trivet...
...and chicken feeder. :)
I got the little chubby chicks at Hobby Lobby...love their vintage look.
Are y'all ready for St. Patrick's Day?
I'm still working on a tablescape, and looking forward to joining Kathleen @ Cuisine Kathleen for her St. Patrick's Day Blog Crawl on March 13th.
Hope you have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Babs

Oh, a shopping day! Can't wait to see what you found, Babs. It was rainy here all day, so I didn't do much of anything. Your new tray is perfect for so many things. Great find!
Love the tray and you have displayed and styled it so beautifully!

I adore your tray-scape, Babs! Those are the sweetest plates with the pansies on them -- love those!
Your tray is so sweet...Love the little yellow chickies, love the placemats and the plates, it's all so inviting...
Hi Babs,
This is so pretty and definitely says spring! Your tray is lovely and looks like it will be very versatile for trayscapes. I love everything you've used here -- your plaid placemats, the amethyst-colored glasses, cabbage cups and saucers :) and the beautiful Spode Copeland plates. Your hubby made you such a nice Shamrock trivette, and I think your chubby chicks are darling.
Have a wonderful weekend, Babs!

Love your tray, it is gorgeous. The little chicks are so cute and I adore the plaid placemats. Very pretty. Hugs,Marty
Love your tray filled with pretty spring things! I'm so longing for spring.
Love the trayscape, Babs. The colors are so beautiful. The green reminds me of the early emergence of the leaves. I just love that green.
I am really loving those placemats and I did notice that the glasses match the plum in the mats.
Just the perfect introduction to spring.
Love to all, Ginger
I love the spring shabby box with cute chicks. Glad you are getting nice weather. It's snowing here.
So cute! I love tray scapes too. One of my favorite arrangements I've ever done was in a white tray. That was fun of your hubby to make you the shamrock trivet! I love the pansies on the Spode dinnerware. They do a lovely job!
This is the second post I've read today about using trays! I love how they "ground" vignettes and in yours, make a nice little place to collect everything you need to set a pretty table. Do I sense a St. Patrick's Day theme here? Love those little chicks!
XO,
Jane
Babs,
Your darling Shabby Spring Tray whispers ever so gently ~ Welcome Spring! The soft muted hues on your china is gorgeous! Love the embossed edging on the plate rim! Sweet stemware and those white cloth napkins are elegant, dear friend!
The chicks add such a whimsical touch!
Kuddos to your husband...the Shamrock trivet is splendid, indeed!
I adore your trayscape!!!
Have a marvelous weekend!
Fondly,
Pat
Love your trayscape, lots of green! The pansy dishes are beautiful.
I LOVE your trayscape, Babs. I'm getting so I like the simple vignettes as they are so much more manageable and simpler. The shamrock that your sweet hubby made you is wonderful. I like your cute chicks and their food trail! This was fun!
Love the tray Babs, perfect for vignettes on your table. I love the colors in the place mats, they match your plates. How sweet of your husband to make the green trivet for you It's perfect for a feeder for the adorable chicks! Can't wait to see what you bought shopping today!!!!

Babs~ I love your trayscape! Your Spode Copeland plates are so springy with their happy pansy faces! Love your chubby chicks and cabbage cups & saucers too!
Thia vignette is so cute, Babs. Love the tray too!...Christine
Fun shopping! Great tray. Love the little cabbage cups and saucers and the darling chicks. Happy Spring!
You shared several great ideas in just one tray! The way you displayed the placemats was very creative and I loved the little egg in the cup. Those chicks are really cute and look a lot like ones done by Brittany Lowe - definitely, not Hobby Lobby - wow! Thanks for sharing and happy shopping for your next trip!
Uh oh...looks like I'm going to have to hop train to come rob you of those cabbage cups & saucers! Wait a minute. I got that wrong, didn't I? I'm supposed to rob a train to get the money to come to your house and BUY the cups & saucers from you. Or maybe that's not right, either. I don't know. No sunshine here, so my brain is still parked at the corner of Blah and Yuck. :-) You got some great stuff, Babs, and I'm glad you enjoyed your shopping trip! It's cute how you displayed the chick eating split peas!
Love your trayscape. I think it's so neat how much you can pack in one tray. It can change the mood of an entire room.
Great to have you be a part of Seasonal Sundays.
