Cloche to the Beach

Hi, Everyone!
Memorial Day is just a few days away, and I'm thinking of the beach...not that I'll get to go there, but I'm thinking
As most of you know, my entry chest is usually where I like to do seasonal and holiday looks. Let me show you what I did.

Here's Shelly, in her new swimsuit, ready for the beach.
Actually, I need one like this to cover all my "figure flaws". :)

Her beach hat has shells on it, her basket is loaded, and there's even a tiny starfish in her hand.

Here's the chest where you can see everything.
I've had the old cloche for a while, but just found the beach sign last week at the thrift store.

I stuffed the cloche with shells, sea glass, brown stem coral...

...a 1907 post card from Luna Park, Coney Island...

...and a starfish.

So, what do ya say?
Grab your swimsuit and a flag. Let's join Shelly and head to the beach for Memorial Day!

Right now, I'm headed over to Marty's for her Cloche Party on Wednesday. See you there!
Hugs,
Babs

What cute ideas! You're going to get tired of me copying everything you do! But you know I love the ocean! Sweet hugs!

I really love your new summer vignette! It's so coastal looking. The swimsuit doll is the perfect accent.

A darling little vignette! She looks like she is singing America The Beautiful! :) Reminds me of an all American Summer Holiday! :)

She's adorable! I love the cloche and I'm imagining how much work it was to cover without disturbing everything! I have some sea carolers by Byer's Choice I'll have to show you.

What a great beachy vignette, love the little doll. The cloche with the shells is so pretty and adding the picture is such a creative idea. Love it. Thanks for joining the party. Hugs, Marty

We just came back from the Florida beaches so I am especially liking your vignette. I haven't seen the Byer's Choice in beach people, so so cute. My daughter collects the Christmas, and Halloween carolers.

Oh she is adorable! I didn't know byers has beach peeps!
Would be perfect here! Uh oh, I feel a purchase coming on. :)
I have never been to Lunar Park, but when we left all the lights on my parents used to say the house was lit up like Lunar Park! That and did we think money grew on trees!
Have a great Memorial Day, Babs!

Aw, she's so cute! There will be no swimming here on Memorial Day. A tad too chilly!

Seriously...I wish they still made swimsuits like that. I haven't put on a swimsuit in nearly 20 years because of my "figure flaws." I can't swim anyway, so I guess it really doesn't matter. Still...I'd like to know there was something out there for me just in case! :-)

You've put together yet another cute and inspiring vignette that captures the spirit of the occasion! I hope you guys have a great Memorial Day holiday weekend!

I Love Shelly....is she from the same company that makes the Christmas figures??....and your Luna Park post card was fun to see...My father as a child in the orphanage in NJ used to go to Luna Park with a family that worked for the school system and would on weekends take out the kids from Boys TOwn...he had fond memories of going there...
