Ducks

Hi, everyone!
Do y'all remember when duck were the rage in home decor?

Ducks were everywhere...

Mallard & Shoveler Duck Pillows

on pillows...

...on wallpaper borders...                                      source

...and duck decoys.

So, I'm hoping, like so many decorating trends, that ducks will be back in style.
Why? you ask?

Because I pulled out my old duck prints, and hung them in the guest bath room.

They're vintage, but they do have gray and cream mats.
Gray and cream are "in"...right?

So, since...

...Duck Dynasty is one of the most popular programs on tv...at least in the South...

...Do you think ducks will soon be seen again in home decor?

Are you ready for ducks? Quack-quack!

Hugs,
Babs

Your "quack"me up! '-) I've never watched Duck Dynasty, but have friends who are fans. Duck season seems like a good idea. I like your duck prints.

I sell Duck decoys all the time. I have no idea if the tv shows helps with that. I say use what you love.

These are beautiful soft prints and look lovely in your bath. And I do remember those duck days (before the roosters came along!). The house we bought at the lake had wallpaper in the bathroom with zillions of decoy ducks, it was almost eerie, all those eyes and beaks!

I've never seen Duck Dynasty but I've heard it's very funny!

Jane

Weblike ducks here. We have a vintage duck figurine collection. I like your print.

Good Afternoon Babs, Do you know, I don't think it matters whether ducks are "in" or "out" as your prints are lovely.
The Duck Dynasty, wow, I'm not sure what to say about them.... they certainly look confident with their own style.... which is a little different to the norm!
Have a lovely weekend,
Best Wishes
Daphne

You may be right!! I do remember when ducks were the rage. However, on pictures, I think they're still in. Yours especially looks nice with the neutral matting. I think it's the hunter green and burgundy that went along with the ducks that makes it more dated. I love that show, Duck Dynasty! At first, I wasn't sure about it. I thought it was silly. Now, it has become one of our favorite shows to watch! I just wish their seasons were longer. Seems like after about 7 shows, the season is over!

Babs,
One can never quite predict what future design trends will be. . .but I say, "Follow your heart!"
Your subtle hued prints look fabulous on your walls, dear friend!!!
Fondly,

Babs, I am thinking that everything would be
"Just Ducky" if the duck trend comes back. I am hoping the swan trend become "swan"ky again as well.
