Three of our family had it...Hubby got it yesterday. He's feeling a little better today, but is still in bed, so I'm staying close to home, putting away the last of the Easter decorations.
My sweet grandsons gave me a Gerber daisy for Easter. I still have it on the breakfast table.
The Easter bunny pancakes, I made, were a big hit with the grands. I put whipped cream on the banana tail for the five year old, and left this one with just the banana tail. The 2 yrs old grandson was in banana mode that morning...with chocolate syrup on the paws, in addition to the maple syrup. :)
Sorry I didn't get a pic of the first one...hungry kids equal quick photos...or no photos.
Thanks Sue for all the great ideas.
I walked the yard this morning, looking to see how things are growing and what needed to be pruned, weeded, etc.
The earlier azaleas have finished, and the Pink Ruffles...
...the George L. Taber...
...and several others with names I've forgotten, are blooming.
The red tips are blooming and the bees' little legs are covered with pollen. I'm not a huge fan of red tips in bloom, because of the scent, but the bees don't seem to mind.
Hostas are looking good, and I'm hoping the caladiums will be up soon.
Last year I planted green and white ones, but this year it's Raspberry Moon and Carolyn Whorton.
Well, that's about all. Guess I'd better go.
I really need to throw out that left over Easter egg cookie. ;)

So sorry to hear you got a 'bug!' That's no way to spend Easter. Love those bunny pancakes. How cute! And that caladium raspberry moon (as plant) at my nursery! It's gorgeous.
Oh, I am so sorry that you and your family have been ill! My son caught a stomach virus, but it lasted only 24 hours, thank heavens! Love your Gerber daisy - the color is gorgeous and your bunny pancakes are adorable!!
Oh dear, so sorry! Hope you are 100 per cent soon! Love the bunny pancakes, and the flowers are gorgeous. We just went out and sprayed for the deer. The hosta are just popping out and they will destroy them!
Babs, sorry to hear you all had a bug over Easter weekend. Not fun!
The cute bunny pancake on the other hand looks like loads of fun. What an adorable idea. I'm sending this one to my sister to make for her grands the next time they have a sleep over at Granny's house.
Working in the garden here a little every day. Still lots to do. Your pretty blooms are gorgeous.
Babs, Hope you're all feeling better soon. It seems like it always happens around the holiday. I think that bunny pancake is so cute!! Next year I have to make some. Your garden is just beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
Hugs,
Jody
Your plants are all looking so pretty! So sorry to hear that the stomach flu hit your house. That's no fun! Glad to hear that you ended up having a good Easter despite it.
Babs,
The bunny pancakes are the neatest idea I've seen! I'll be sharing these with my niece who has two grandsons for her Easter surprise next year!!!
Your Garden is awakening, nicely, dear one. We lost our hostas with our frigid Winter here on the Prairie. Not sure if we'll be replanting them or not. Airid, hot temperatures in the Summer, frigid temps in the Winter truly take their fate on the vegetation.
Hoping you'll be feeling better soon!!!
Fondly,
Pat
I'm so sorry you've been sick. Hope you both feel lots better soon. Your flowers are beautiful. It's so nice to see the Spring blooms! Sweet hugs, Diane
What a shame that the bug had to hit at such a bad time. I hope hubby feels well soon. It looks like the grands had a great Easter, those pancakes are darling!
Your flowers are beautiful! I've never heard of Reds but it sure looks like the bees love it! I don't think I could get that close for a picture myself! Ha!
XO,
Jane
The pancakes are the bomb diggity. I planted two large planters with green and white caladium bulbs and I do not think they are coming up. Unless the ground has not warmed enough-it has been strangely wet and cool this spring. xo, olive
p.s. hope all of you get well
Oh I hope you don't get sick too! Some of those viruses spread like wildflower! Speaking of flowers- your azaleas look marvelous! I love caladiums but haven't done well with them. Looks like that bee is enjoying his pollen gathering! My tulips and daffodils are on their way up! Can't wait to see them blooming!
Your pancakes and cookie have made me really hungry! Glad that you had a nice Easter. -Carla
Hope you are all well once again...those viruses take so much out a person.
Gorgeous azalea!
Have a wonderful week, Babs.
pretty nice blog, following :)
Sorry about the bug! It stinks to be sick at any time, but especially around the holidays.
I loved your outside shots, but my favorite thing of all was the bunny pancakes. I love that.
Babs, Looks like you had a wonderful Easter. Sorry to hear that your family had that darn flu bug. My bil had it on the cruise ship and spent most of the time in his room. That would be awful! Love the pancakes and your Azaleas are gorgeous! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
