R is the Color of Sea Glass

Last post, I told you my neighbor brought me a gorgeous beachy paint sample. Well, I couldn't wait to try it.
So, I painted my white wooden monogram letter R.

There's only a number on the sample, but it looks like the color of sea glass to me.
Whatever it is, I love it!

I like how the paint color works with the striped pillow on the bench and the colors in the ship prints above.

I kept things simple in the entry. I found the wicker wreath in the shed, and added an old bird planter on top of the sea glass books.

The paint color reminded me of the tole tray I have. So, I found the tray in the pantry and put it on the kitchen hutch.

A sea glass colored magnolia...how retro is that.
Now, I'm looking around the house for more sea glass colored things to use in a vignette...or some more things to paint.

Hope y'all are getting some rain where you are. We're frying here in Georgia. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we'll get some rain in the next few days.
Otherwise, I'll be doing a post on the color brown...which is the color our grass is turning.

I do love this color and you've inspired me to do a letter!!

I do feel for the areas that haven't received rain...we've gotten more than we need. Yet terrible storms with a lot of damage. Every storm makes us scared!! No kidding. All the best to everyone.

What a beautiful vignette - love the shades of sea blue, that lovely flower painting, and the natural wood/reed tones too. :)

Love it Babs! I'm drawn to that color range and I'm surprised I don't have something in my house decorated in it. Cute vignette! We're having the opposite kind of summer- below normal temps and a lot of rain lately. We haven't even hit 90 this season!

A beautiful, soft and quiet shade of sea glass, not sparkly, but subdued and pretty. Love your 'R'!

Happy weekend!

Babs, I love that color and yes I agree seaglass! What fun things to you found to make a great vignette. Love the planter also. We've had some showers here in Athens so it's keep things green but also humid!

Linda

LOVE the vignette! The color inspiration is pretty, and I love the way you combined the books and tray and wreath, etc. to showcase the monogram. I keep saying that I need to paint a letter or monogram for here because I really do love it when it's done.

Looks beautiful and "cool". Even if it's blazing outside we can pretend it's cool, right?
