This year, I seem to be more disorganized than ever. I'm running behind with decorating, but having a lot of fun anyway.
Maybe it's just a sugar high from all those Thanksgiving goodies.
Gosh, I feel like I've gained at least five pounds already.
Back to decorating...let me show you what I've done so far.
I started in the guest bedroom.
Keeping it simple in a small room.
Tartan ribbon trims the wreath above the bed.
Colonial Williamsburg Byers' Choice Carolers on the bedside table.
A vintage stocking (mine when I was little) hangs on the bed post.
More vintage...a brass cricket box with a Christmas arrangement, and a fun book..."It's a Wonderful Christmas...The Best of the Holidays...1940-1965".
We finished decorating the tree today, but I didn't get pics of it yet...
...but, here's the front door wreath...daytime...
...nighttime.
It's getting late...
I set the breakfast dishes on the hutch.
Now, I'd better think of what to make for supper.
Hope y'all are having a great week.

Love the guest room decorations! It's looking good. I've got my tree decorated but the rest is a mess. I need to finish and get on with things. I'm going to simplify I think a little more each year!
hugs,
Linda
You have so much more done than I...I will wait until the last minute to do everything...some things just never change!
Your guest room looks so cheery and festive. Love your door wreath.
Have a wonderful, relaxing week, Babs.
Looks a lot like Christmas at your house! I've started but haven't finished.
I'm rather slow this year, too, but I'll get in gear. Looks like you're showing that holiday cheer in your lovely home!! Your guest room and front door are looking merry!
The guest room looks wonderful- love the tartan plaid pillows and the crisp white quilt against the red. The front door wreath looks great and I love that you have lights on it! I've taken my time decorating- just enjoying the process!
I love the red plaid. It goes well with your decor. Great job!
It's all so pretty and classic. I like the plaid ribbon on your front door wreath. I also like the stocking you have had all these years.
Everything looks beautiful, Babs, especially that guest room.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
I love this, Babs; everything looks so cheerful and Christmas-y. The plaids are my favorite, of course. :) I have a new tartan plaid comforter and shams for our guest room but haven't had a chance to put them on the bed yet. I'm still decorating for Christmas; it will take me awhile to finish.
Have a great day!
Hugs,
Denise at Forest Manor
Beautiful touches of Christmas, Babs. Love the plaid pillow cases. Plaid at Christmas just seems so right.
So nice to start to make your guests feel right at home during the holidays...Love the carolers as I have the same ones!!...
Such lovely Christmas decorations Babs!! Please come over to my house and do mine!!! we've been gone forever it seems and will be in Helen this weekend. Not sure when I'll get things decorated!! Your wreath is beautiful on your red door!!
Love your guest room. I'm in the process of decorating a bedroom with plaid and deer. I guess great minds think alike. :)
Babs, I want to be a guest in that festive room. Loving the touches of tartan! and how fun to see your childhood stocking. Mine is pink felt with a Santa. My aunt made it for me, so it's still treasured even though not the one I use. I need to hang it on the bedpost.
I'm all finished here. Got our tree up last weekend and finished the house this week. We have house guests arriving on Saturday, so it was incentive to get it done. Feels good! Wish you were close to come sip a cup of tea by the fire. ~
Babs, your holiday decor is looking so pretty and festive! Any guest would be honored to stay in your beautiful guest room!
Doggone you, Babs!!! I have finished my Christmas decorating, but now you have me wanting to backtrack and decorate the guest bedroom!!! I had made the decision not to do any decorating upstairs this year since there is only a very slim chance that we'll have a visitor stay over. I figured it wasn't worth the hassle. Now you have me re-thinking that! I already have my crates all neatly re stacked Jenga-style in the storage room and don't want to go through taking them back out again, but you've planted that seed! This is on your head, I tell you!!! ON YOUR HEAD!!! :-)
Beautiful job! Have a great weekend!
Babs,
Love the Traditional red tartan plaid, dear friend!!! The Christmas "peeks" have me wanting for more!!!
Fondly,
Pat
Everything looks so pretty Babs...I LOVE your stocking!!
Charming! I love plaid. What a lovely room for your guests.
Love your guest room holiday decor. Especially loving the plaid pillows and that cute reindeer pillow. Happy Holidays to you! Thanks for your visit, too!
