Spring Cloche

It's time for Marty's Egg-xellent Spring Cloche Party, and I'm
egg-cited to join in.
I thought this little cloche was cute when I bought it, but it's so skinny...

...it's a challenge getting things tucked inside...

...but I managed to squeeze a few Grape Hyacinths (muscari) into a real egg shell, and hot-glued the shell to the plate.

A bit of reindeer moss is tucked around the edges, to hide the glue.

Y'all are probably tired of seeing the foyer, but on cloudy, overcast days,  it's one of the few places in the house I can get a half-way decent photo...and that's with the door open.

Are you all ready for a Spring Party?
Let's go to A Stroll Thru Life for Marty's Egg-xellent Spring Cloche Party on March 13th.

Babs, it's darling. Still haven't found a cloche for my scales. Love the grape hyacinth. I saw them at the store this week and wanted to bring some home. I need to read and see how they might do planted in the garden. Love the little blooms. ~ sarah

That vignette is so cute! You have a lot of nice pieces to play with, and you always have such interesting arrangements.

I just finished Mary Kay Andrews book,Summer Rental, which takes place on Nag's Head. Fun read.

I love the purple of the muscari with the yellow chick. I never tire of seeing your creative displays! This is one of my favorites, I wish I still had some muscari in bloom. Mine are waning.

That was so clever to use hot glue to secure your egg shell like that. I love the idea of using an egg shell to plant a flower in for Easter. So cute!

Have you ever heard of museum putty??? It is WONDERFUL, it will make things stick like glue but then you can remove it! I use it all the time. Your whole vignette looks beautiful. Love the muscari in the real egg shell! Love it all. XO, Pinky

You certainly managed to find a way around the skinny size, and it couldn't be cuter. I love the eggshell planter. LOVE it. I understand what you mean about lighting in a particular space in your home. I have those areas too. :) Thanks for joining our Egg-xellent Party kickoff, hope to see you at some of the others. Blessings, Barb

Glad you were able to smush your grape hyacinth into the cloche, Babs, because it looks darling. I always have to play around with those domes, because they're either too tall or not wide enough on the bottom! LOL
Very sweet vignette in your tray. :-)

Hi Babs,
thank you for your visit and your sweet comment. Your found just the right decoration for this special cloche and I love how you decorated the Muscaris. It looks so natural and charming. You have a special talent for decoration. I like the view on your foyer. I know how difficult it is to get good photos indoor.
