My Potting Bench is Ready

In my last post, I showed you a peek at my under-the-deck potting bench that Hubby was "upgrading".
Well, it's finished...it just needed a few tweaks.

It probably doesn't look a lot different from last time, but the sides are finished, and I added a few more plants...and things.

I found this cute shabby bird house at the thrift store. I thought it could keep the other one company. For some reason it makes me think of Alison.  :)  Doesn't it look a little bit like a polo barn?

The church birdhouse was on the clearance aisle at Hobby Lobby.

Here's an old galvanized oil pan I'm using to hold potting soil while I pot little plants. I'm hoping this will work. If not, I'll just make a mess on the bench top and brush off the mess when I'm finished.

This little folding chair came from my son's house. He was thinking of throwing it out, and asked me if I wanted it. My son knows I drag home all sorts of stuff...so we dragged it all the way home from NJ.

While I was working on the potting bench, I added one more touch...

...just a few flags...Happy Flag Day!

Hugs,
Babs

Flag Day, I had planned a post myself. Guess I best get busy if I want to celebrate. ;-) Love the potting area, Babs. The birdhouse is a terrific find. Something about birdhouses and bird cages that make me smile big time.

Babs, what a cute area you have there. I hope one day to have a little green house with a potting bench. Just got to get you know who to build it.

Cute potting bench! I'll have to send you a picture of mine....it's not quite as cute but your lattice has given me an idea to add to mine.
Today's date was bugging me, and now I remember why- It's flag day! Thanks for the reminder!

What a darling potting bench. I've been thinking I need one of those too, but I don't have the room! Darling of your husband to make it for you too. Thanks for stopping by and paying me a visit. I think I'll stay awhile and look around, if you don't mind.

Babs,
Your Potting Bench is such a versitle piece...I can see a luncheon or dinner placed on the bottom shelf for parties on the lawn!!! Your gardening implements made me think of "Dirt Dessert", both my sons and my Father enjoyed this at Father's day past! Thanks for the addition of Flags for Flag Day. Long may Freedom Ring!!!
Fondly,
Pat

What a neat potting bench and you have decorated it so nicely too! Mine would just be a jumbled mess with all the potting I do.

I want one just like it! It's wonderful, and I love how you have even decorated it.
