It's Starting To Get Spooky

Hey everyone! Hope y'all had a great weekend. It's really starting to feel like Fall here, and  I've started decorating for Halloween. I can't remember the last time I did anything but turn on the porch light. We rarely get any trick or treaters, but this year, I've noticed more children in the neighborhood, so I'm hoping.
Since I didn't have any decorations, and I didn't want to spend a lot of money, I looked for easy things to make. Here's what I just finished.

You may have seen this on the Better Homes and Garden website...you can click HERE to see the instructions.
Mine is slightly larger, because I couldn't find a 12 inch straw wreath, so I used a 14 inch one. I also added a bow on top to cover the door hook.
The wreath was easy to make, but a little time consuming.
I spent about three hours  Saturday night, wrapping yarn around the wreath, watching the football game and fuming, while Georgia lost to South Carolina...Big time! At least I had something constructive to do. :)
Let me give you a peek at some other decorations I'm working on...really easy ones, because I like easy.

...spray painting things white and black...

...cutting out spooky paper cats...

...and bats...does it look like the signal for Batman?  Hmmm. Maybe I need to re-think this one.

There are some spooky creatures around the house. You better watch out...

Boo!

I still have decorating to finish, so I'll show you more next time.
Hope y'all have a great week. I'm partying with ~

Very cute! I agree with Olive, not sure I'd have the patience for wrapping the yarn! Looks like you're all set for Halloween-have fun:@)

I love the wreath you made! I bet that did take a long time. It looks so professional! I hope you'll have some trick or treaters this year. It's so much fun to see the little ones in costume. We watched the GA game too and my husband went to bed angry about it. He is a HUGE Ga fan! He thinks they're not playing well this year. He worries how they're going to hold up next to some of the better teams coming up. We never miss a game!

Babs, your Halloween touches are delightful. Clever idea for the wreath. ;-)

You really make it appear so easy along with your presentation however I to find this matter to be actually something which I feel I would by no means understand. It sort of feels too complex and very extensive for me. I am looking ahead on your next submit, I’ll try to get the hang of it!

What a cute wreath! I need to get my imagination in gear on something for my door! Your Halloween decorations are looking great! LOL on the Batman signal!

Why wouldn't you want your bat to look like the call signal for Batman?!??!! He's the king of the bats! ;-) You did a really, really, REALLY good job on the wreath! Just looking at it I can tell that it had to have taken a little time to complete. Good think you had plenty to keep you going...even if it was a game that didn't end in your favor! :-) Great job, Babs!

Babs, what a fun bunch of decor items you have come up with. I will not be around much this October so I hadn't done anything but the kitchen counter and my six year old grandson came in and wondered when I was going to get some things done!! I had to do a little more! The bat lampshade is great and I love the white pumpkin with the black plant leaves. How fun.
