Ivy Wreath

Ivy wreaths are one of my favorite things to decorate for holidays.
I love real ones, but I've killed more real ivy plants than I care to think about...so I settle for the faux kind.

I've used this wreath for Easter and Christmas in the past, but this year I've decorated it for St. Patrick's Day...

It's sitting at the top of the stairs just outside the guest bedroom.

Sorry about the crooked photo...I can't decide if the table is crooked...or the picture...or both.
The magnolia picture is from the 1990s, but it does have a green mat... ;)
I've been looking for a new picture, or a mirror, but haven't found one yet that fits the space and my budget.

I kept the wreath really simple with just a few green and white berries and a little sign, but a burlap bow or shamrocks would be nice, too.

The little sign says, "Erin Go Bragh"...Ireland Forever.

I attached the little sign and the berries, with a piece of wire for easy removal for the next holiday.

Are y'all ready for St. Patrick's Day?
I'm not ready yet, but I'm working on it.

Hugs and have a great weekend,
Babs

I love your wreath, very Irish indeed! Getting ready to make my St. Patty's tablescape..although, I'm not Irish, but a Newyorker and we love ST.P's. I'm also Cathlolic. Can't wait for Kathleen's SP's Day linky. Enjoy your weekend.

I love your wreath, Babs. Why didn't I think of getting a faux ivy wreath...I am another that can't keep ivy alive...I have no problems with other plants.

It's very pretty, especially with the touches of St. Paddy!
I'm starting to think about what I might do too.

Babs,
Love, LOVE, L O V E the wreath in your urn, dear friend!!! I adore the postcard and the use of white berries...simple and splendid, indeed!
The photo is gorgeous above your vintage table!!!
Babs...how did you accomplish getting your wreath to stand upright??? I tried one recently for the Mater Bedroom side table. Left the room...and when I came back...disaster struck!!! I'd love for you to share your secret, please!!!
Decorating for Saint Patrick's Day...just a tablescape, dear friend!!! Then I will rapidly switch out the decor to Easter!!!
Have a marvelous weekend!!!
Fondly,
Pat

I used to have a great ivy wreath when I owned my store, and I think I must have donate it or sold it or...who knows? I was just thinking a day or so ago how much I miss it and need to either buy or build a new one. Build is the most likely scenario since I'm on a buying hiatus. I just know I have the materials around here to do it. Yours looks great, especially all dolled up for St. Patrick's Day! That's a great look! (I know what you mean about the "crooked" photos. I do that, too, especially when photographing stemware. I don't know why it ends up like that when I am just so certain I'm holding the camera straight!)

Love the demilune vignette and your ivy wreath. I have no luck with real indoor plants. Your magnolia picture is lovely. xo

Love how you made it a topiary. I didn't realize that it wasn't real!

Thanks for being a part of Seasonal Sundays.

Your ivy wreath is great and I really like the idea of being able to change out decorations for each season or holiday - so smart, Babs!

Beautiful! I love ivy wreaths too and I even have them outside. I've tried to grow ivy inside but it just doesn't seem to work. Yours is wonderful for St. Patrick's Day! (maybe I should go with the faux kind)
