On the way to the grocery store this morning, I stopped in GW to see if there was anything I couldn't live without. :)
Can you tell what I found?...
...a vintage demijohn, just sitting there waiting for me! Whoo Hoo!
After lunch, I ran to City Hall, the antique store, and then stopped by the garden center for veggie plants.
I got 3 pots of tomatoes, 1 basil, a pack of squash, and 3 peppers.
This one is called Yummy Snacking Peppers...petite bell peppers. I haven't seen this kind before...can't wait to see how they taste.
When we got home, Hubby started working in the garden, putting the weeds and leaves in the compost; and I noticed the strawberries from last year are blooming like crazy, and already have little green berries.
I'm still working on the frame you saw in my last post.
One of the errands I ran was to pick up some gilders paste to use on the frame.
I spray painted it gold, but it still needs some "help". So, I'm hoping at least one of the two colors I got will do the trick. Cross your fingers. :)
Guess I'd better get supper started. Here's one last pic of...
...the demijohn. It was $4.54. Do you think I got a good deal?
I found the tea towels on clearance at World Market a couple of weeks ago, and forgot to show you.
Love the cute graphic teapots.
I hope y'all had a great Wednesday.
Hugs,
Babs

WOW! You scored a real deal. What a great demijohn, Babs. xo
You got a wonderful find! All the very best with the tomatoes, basil and peppers. I love bell peppers. It is interesting to read about petite ones. Enjoy the rest of your week.
Yes, I would say you got a great deal on that demijohn.
Hi Babs! You did good and I love your little vignette too.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Great deals, Babs! The demijohn is awesome...great price!! We love bell peppers, too. Dear Hubby just planted his last weekend. Can't wait to reap the harvest!
Gotta love Goodwill! What a find! Life to the full! Melissa @ DaisyMaeBelle
No way...you found a demi john at the thrift store? Wow! That is so cool!
I think that's a fabulous price! Honestly, the only thing at our GW we could find for that price would be junk. We wouldn't even have something like that to begin with.
I can't decide if that is a condemnation of our GW or of the town which would be the source of our GW.
I guess it's the town.
What a score! I can't believe that someone just donated that demijohn. I don't think they really knew what they had since they sell for so much. Glad it went to a nice home!! Your frame is coming along nicely. I can't wait to see it all finished.
I think that was a really good deal and on the tea towels also. Cute kitchen vignette!
Sounds like you had a REALLY full day yesterday, Babs!!!! It truly was a "Hump Day" for you because you were humpin' to make sure you got a lot of stuff done!!!!!!!
Good luck with that frame. I have a couple of frames I want to tackle around here, but I'm scared. I have NO clue what I'm doing!!!
Great find on the demijohn! It was waiting there just for you!!!
Be sure to see your cute little face on my post this week! You were a guest at my party and you didn't even know it! :-) (Wow...were the drinks THAT good??!?!?!?)
Really unique demijohn - I never see them around here in NY. And we can't plant our veggies yet - still too cold!
Babs,
Great finds!!!
Sweet basil is one of my favorite herbs!!!Ours will have to be re~planted as the frost turned it to black!
Love that you've painted the frame Gold!!!
Have a marvelous weekend, dear friend!!!
Fondly,
Pat
Babs, I am thinking you made out like a bandit. What would that have cost at Scotts? I can just see you running to the register before they changed their mind.
Hugs, Ginger
