Christmas Tartan and Plaid

I love tartan! So, Christmas at our house always includes a little tartan, in just about every room.
I don't have all my decorations up yet, so I'm sharing photos from Christmases past.
I'll be joining The Tablescaper for Seasonal Sunday~Christmas Past, and Alison @ The Polohouse for Favorites on the First~Plaid Tidings, celebrating tartan or plaid.

2012~Tartan ribbon on a little black velvet door pillow. These hang on the bathroom doors.

2012~Byers' Choice Carolers in the entry. The ladies have tartan skirts.

2011~Tartan frame with Santa and screaming grandson.

2009~Here's a tablescape I did before I started blogging.
Susan @Between Naps On The Porch graciously shared posts from non-bloggers that December.
Click HERE to see that post.

A cup of Christmas tea and MacGregor tartan.

2012
2012~Scottish nutcracker.

2011~Little handmade Scottie with Rob Roy tartan bow.

2012~Christmas horn with a plaid bow.
These are just a few of my favorite tartan things from Christmases past.

Please join The Tablescaper and The Polohouse for two great parties on Sunday, December 1st.

Oh Babs, I love this post. I seriously adore tartan plaids (our last name is McGee, so go figure). :) My in-laws have been to Scotland, and they brought back some of their clan plaid with them. I am thrilled that plaids have made a resurgence lately in the fashion and decorating world.

My favorite thing you showed is the "Ho Ho Ho" pillow with plaid ribbon. It's so pretty! I also LOVE the Scottie plates with plaid rims. I saw those at Home Goods a couple of years ago and wish I had gotten them now. I really like your decorating style, Babs.

Thanks for sharing with us; I hope you have a great day!

Hugs,

LOVE your plaids and tartans, Babs!

That photo is so darn cute! Had to laugh out loud. At first I thought it was an illustrated image and then as I saw the screaming cutie pie -- I really had a chuckle!

That tartan tea cup set is awesome. Would LOVE to have a set of THOSE.

I am not yet ready for new photos yet either! Started to work on some spots outside as it was nearly 50 here today and that will not LAST. Usually the dirt in our planters and urns is so frozen you cannot even get a steel rod to puncture it!
Have to get out there before the freeze~

:)
Thanks again for sharing, Babs!
