I grew up in a small town in Georgia, and in our house, salad meant only one thing...iceberg lettuce with Thousand Island Dressing.
That was it... no toppings...just iceberg lettuce and dressing...from a bottle.
I usually make salad dressing from scratch, but, keeping true to my childhood memories, I bought a bottled dressing...Ken's Steak House Thousand Island Dressing...it's delicious!
My toppings are grated, extra sharp cheddar cheese, and bacon. YUM!
It's so good, that I might just have to have Wedge Salad, again, for lunch...and, maybe even...supper.
Hope y'all have a great weekend.

Hi
Thanks for visiting My cozy Corner. I'm visiting you and love what I see. Salad is wonderful for lunch or dinner. I'm a new follower and will be back soon.
Joyously,
Betty
Your salad looks refreshing and so good. A good lunch of this is what I am thinking about now.
Our salad growing up was chopped lettuce with oil and vinegar and sometimes french dressing when we had it.
That looks so good Babs! Dan always gets the wedge salad at the restaurant. I know what you mean about salads as a kid- ours wasn't very elaborate either. Ken's salad dressings are delicious!
Looks good,Babs. I have had it when eating out but never made it at home, my have to soon.
I had forgotten all about Thousand Island Dressing. It used to be a favorite of mine. Thanks for the reminder and love the blue and white.
What fun memories. Salad at our house was just lettuce too. If company came then we had a diced tomato added to it.
I love a good wedge salad!! Yours looks wonderful. I remember eating Zesty Italian growing up. We have so many more choices now but I'm a Hidden Valley Ranch girl. :)
Oh I love these. First time I saw it Paula Deen did it on her show. Thanks for sharing!
