Really, I Wasn't Looking for Stripes

Hi, everyone~
Things have been a little slow here, lately. We'd planned to have a yard sale last week, weather permitting, but it's been raining off and on for days and it won't be gone until sometime next week.

My house is a disaster with yard sale stuff piled in the guest room and in the corner of the family room, as well as in the shed.
Now, Hubbs has to work the next three weekends, so no telling when my house will be back to normal.
Anyway, I've been shopping...don't laugh. Here I am trying to get rid of things and still buying more.

Today, I bought this little striped indoor mat for the entry. I was looking for something solid, but ended up with stripes.
The large seagrass rug that we had there, needs to be cleaned, so we rolled it up. We'll try to clean it when the weather is better.

The white irises are blooming in the garden, and with so much rain, they won't last long.
They're messy, but I still love to bring them in the house.

I found this little metal "striped" orb today, at Hobby Lobby. I know I'll find lots of places for it.

Yesterday, I went shopping for leather sandals, and came home with striped espadrilles. They're really comfy.

I bought these last week.  More stripes! I know stripes are "in" now but...
Do you think I'm in a rut? :)

Hope y'all are having a good week.
xo Babs

Cute entry rug...has some great colors. Love the espadrilles.
You are way ahead of us with iris already blooming. I always look forward to them...they never fail me, nor do the peonies.

I think the striped rug is very cheerful, and both pairs of shoes are so cute.

I always thought I was a floral person but I've been liking stripes a lot lately, too. I think I bought the same shoes today!!!

Good luck with the sale!

Isn't it funny how things like this happen. I like stripes and the rug is a nice punch of color for the entryway! The shoes are cute! I can't believe you have iris blooming already. Ours usually bloom around Memorial Day.

Babs the rug is cute and adds a little spice! I have been finding birds again, so they are everywhere in the living room, pillows, shelves and outside! So much rain! Ugh!

hugs,
Linda

Babs,
I adore all your "striped" purchases!!!
Come to think of it, I've been making "striping" purchases lately, too, dear friend!!! Once the April Showers have subdued, I'll be donning my "stripe" pillows for the out~of~doors!!!
Fondly,
Pat

I love stripes so I really like everything you bought. Your rug is cute and cheerful in your foyer. I've never had espadrille shoes before. I will have to give them a try. They're very cute.
