We're under a severe storm warning, so I'm just waiting and blogging. :)

Well, it's getting really dark outside.
Guess I'd better check on things before the storm hits.

It is storming like crazy right now! Love the little touches of flowers and greenery in your home. I have that same Turquoise pottery vase you showed. Love the color but mine is pretty beat up but found for super cheap at a thrift shop. The gardenias in it are gorgeous, one of my favorite flowers!

I hope you are safe. I saw the news today about the severe flooding in tx and ok. That turtle is a doozy!
We ended up getting a lot of rain from that storm! That's a great pic of that turtle! I love watching turtles. I don't see them very often. Our gardenias aren't blooming yet. I love the smell of them! Yours look pretty in that turquoise vase.
Hey that's the kind of exciting life I love!! Your flowers and plants are all so pretty. Don't you love putting fresh mulch out? It's hard work but makes everything look so pretty.
Great photo of the Eastern Box Turtle. So much rain in areas that really don't need it...send some to California! Your yard looks wonderful.
Such sad news coming from around Houston---I hope you are on drier land...so devastating.
That's a colorful turtle. We have a lot of snappers at the lake and I can't tell the difference so I stay far, far away!
Love the herbs...you can cut basil, etc., and keep it in containers in the fridge to use for a good week or so. But I bet you knew that! ;-)

Hi Babs- your yard looks great with the fresh mulch! That is one colorful turtle- love it! We have had several bouts of rain since yesterday afternoon and right now the winds have picked up dramatically. Seems to be a lot of storm activity going on everywhere!
Babs, I love everything you've cut for indoor arrangements. I have never thought about cuttin the Autumn Joy but that is a wonderful idea. I wish I had gardenias. I think the fragrance is heavenly. Your mulch is icing on a lovely cake :)
Hope you weathered the storm. We've had plenty of rain but luckily no real storms like in OK and TX! Your yard looks so nice and rooting the cuttings are a great idea. I've recently planted Autumn Joy. How big should it be before I try to propagate it? I didn't think about doing that until I saw you did it. Do you just put it in water and let it root?

Hi Babs, Your newly mulched lawn looks great!! That's always such a good feeling to get something like that accomplished -- makes the lawn look manicured. :) I love your gardenias; they have the most wonderful fragrance.
It's been raining on and off here in N.C. since Monday evening; it's a good thing because things were turning brown here, and it's only the first week of June. BTW, I loved the picture of the turtle!! Have a good week.
